Deathseeker

By Kakita Shiro, in Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game

Wow, Babylon 5 is how I pictured life in Toshi Ranbo when there was no emperor.

(Sorry I'm so off topic seems we got 2 different conversations going on)

Deathseeker. My favorite part is she's got zero glory. You'll still lose honor if she died while being dishonorable, but you know what you're getting when you pay for her, you don't have to worry about her 2 military strength going to 0 when she gets hit with dishonor.

Let's rewrite that for L5R:

The Empire needs men like you, Seppun Tashime-sama...men of conscience, men of principle, men who can sleep at night. You're also the reason the Scorpion Clan exists. Someone has to protect men like you from a world that doesn't share your sense of right and wrong.

Seppun Tashime is a cool protagonist. Wish we'd gotten a resolution to his story.

Question from FB: Does this mean that everything is pushed back a week?

FFG Response: For now, yes. We may shake things up a little later on, but each clan will get their spotlight no matter what!

I don't see why FFG doesn't just post both a fiction and card previews next week, especially since there aren't enough weeks left before Gencon for any delays...

While fiction delays suck, I would be a very bad liar if I said that I am not more eager for the spoiled cards.

Well, it sounds like next week we aren't getting a preview article because they are going to release the fiction next week.

That's kind of annoying haha.

It's very possible that the person in charge of the FB account isn't a main member of the L5R team or aware of the number of weeks until Gencon (and probably isn't the person who will actually decide how the new schedule rolls out besides) so I am thinking (hoping?) that the FB response is more or less a placeholder response and that they quite possibly aren't actually pushing everything back a week.

He should be the neutral clan 'champion' for the core set. We actually need an Imperial 'clan' in the future as well.

Isn't "that person" Elena? I think she'd know :)

I am totally expecting to see Impetial cards in the Core set, which I would think is an automatic move by FFG as well.

We did see 2 Imperial Cards from what I remember, both of which are decent starting cards that can be used by all of the Clans, especially at the beginning of the game as we are limited by card selection.

I honestly don't know who "that person" is.

How did we not get resolution to his story? It concluded in Endgame.

She is the person in the Facebook live videos who asks the devs our questions. Also the person who posted the sticky thread for future video questions.

I know who Elena is, but I was not aware that she is in charge of the FB account. ("That person" is a quote of another poster who used it to mean "the person who posted the response on FB.")

At any rate, the point I was trying to make is that a FB page usually has an administator and any number of people with priveleges to post and reply under the page name. It might have been Elena who responded, but it might not have (as that information isn't visible to people without page privileges.)

Mostly I'm just hoping they don't actually delay the update schedule, because I am hankering for some sweet, sweet L5R information.

I'm expecting maybe two more but that's about it. I wouldn't expect some sort of Imperial support for quite awhile. I'd even take magistrate support too.
