FFG Facebook via the Discord channel.

If this is not flavor then i dont know what it is. Although a bit *** art, what's with the sword in right arm

I just know that one of the guys I play with is going to put two fate on this card when he plays it. And I will simply shake my head. Great guy, just doesn't get card games.

I notice it's a Reaction, but not Forced. So my understanding is, you could always choose not to do it? Always good to have options, as it can often throw off your opponent!

Cool card. Too bad we get no fiction this week though...

Yup, don't have to do it. It's not always beneficial, especially if you have a fate on this guy. Although I have no idea why you would.

I think we need an alternate art Deathseeker in a court scene.

They may seek death, but I'm sure they're not that suicidal!

It's how I imagine many Lion players sending this poor gal to do her dirty work. Despite the lore. But, hey, I blame design for putting that political skill of 1 on her!

The FB post said the following:

Locked in conflict for control of Toshi Ranbo with the Crane, the Lion Clan regretfully must delay their tale of heroics and glory until next Wednesday. To compensate, they send this brave warrior to aid you in the conflicts of Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game!

Well, they had to send the fiction to the editor for final review, and they assigned Nerishma to guard it en route, so...

Declare Political conflict, send him, intentionally lose. Very honorable for the Lion? :D

Strikes me as a pseudo Lion thing to do. Just imagine, deathseeker put down so hard by someone it makes that person embarrassed themselves, and must commit seppuku.

This gal will be a very annoying defender to deal with. You can also use for some weird mind games while you attack.

Ahh, like when Quark faced D'Ghor in the Klingon High Council. I get it!

Nothing more neutral that some good Unicorns.

Her ability is specifically while she's attacking. She would not be as useful on defense.

I recognize most of those words.

When I'm first player:

Buy for 2 fate. No additional fate.

"I declare a military conflict on Fire for 2 strength."

Now your opponent must either defend, and suffer a loss of 1 fate or discarding a character or give me a free honor/dishonor.

If they don't defend, I can play an attachment or Banzai to take the province. If they do defend, they used a defender to, essentially, suffer a Ring of the Void challenge loss.

I will take that all day.
