The artwork on the Vaksai title card isn't a Vaksai

You are wrong, FFG. You can't just 'overwrite' the Vaksai model. I am going to buy proper Vaksei models from Mels and I am going to use them at tournaments. Just saying ...

In fairness, the Falcon was a square dish in the difference. The Vaksai would be an entire retooling, and that's massively expensive.

I don't really care! It is still one of the most beautiful pieces of X-Wing ships around, after Star Viper!

I don't mind that they didn't change the model.

I am suprised they didn't give it the correct artwork. I mean, it's already on a card and everything.

The Vaksai title card actually shows assembly of the new drive units (nice art btw). Seems like they have not come around to the nose and cannons yet on the yard in the card art.

But the model should show the finished state. Probably a cost issue. The Falcon got a new model with new panelling, but its a vastly more known ship, also bought purely for esthetics by people not playing the game, thus a wider consumer base covering the costs of a new mold.

That essentially IS the difference, yes. The cockpit on the Kira is in the nose of the ship, while the cockpit on the Vaksai is in the middle.

It's no more significant a change than, say, the different solar panels on a TIE Interceptor. But that got it's own ship.

I understand them making it a Title though. And it would have been nice if they'd at least given the Vaksai a different model, but I understand not doing that either. But not even putting a real Vaksai on the card? C'mon FFG, that wouldn't have cost you nothin'.

Wonder if now we're going to see a Dunelizard title for the Scyk in the future.

The Falcon wasn't just a square dish different, they completely retooled the model, added a bunch of details and changed a bunch of stuff, including detail on the engine cowling and better battle damage. They didn't just swap the dish and call it quits.

They are selling thousands of models - it wouldn't hurt to make a new mold with the real Vaksai. Missed opportunity! Specially now that the Vaksai and Kihraxz are canon .
