GM's Kit BI vs. FFG

By player677064, in Dark Heresy

Are there any differences between the two? If so what was different? I have tried searching around on the internet to find out, but so far haven't discovered anything.

Thanks

I have only seen the FFG ones, but it is my understanding that the BI screen is of inferior worksmanship. Specifically, I think it's just cardboard with paper glued to it instead of the more solid FFG screen. The booklet is identical.

I have the BI one - its not flimsy, its thick card with a glossy finish. I've never seen the FFG one, but I do have the Rogue Trader one - which is made the same way that FFG make the boards for their boxed games, so if the FFG one is like that, there's your difference.

The BI one comes with a book, 32 pages on glossy paper, black and white throughout. Half the book is an adventure (Maggots In The Meat), the rest covers creating your own Xenos Creatures, plus Poisons and Toxins. Perhaps someone with the FFG one can compare and contrast...

If the FFG screen for DH is like the FFG screen for RT, I would definitely chose the FFG one over the BI one :)

The GM screen is the only difference and that difference is mostly cosmetic anyway. FFG's screen has the fake material print stamped into the screen and is matt finished, the BI one is smooth and glossy. They are both about the same thickness and weight.

Thank you for the responses. I have a chance to get the BI version dirt cheap ($3-4) so I wanted to make sure it wouldn't be better spent towards the more expensive FFG version.
