I'm relatively new to the RPG side of FFG's empire, but I believe this is the first time they have cross-pollinated so directly between the games. In the new Scum expansion are "a handful of ambitious new pilots eager to fly [these ships], including some of the greatest spies and bounty hunters from the Edge of the Empire™ and Force and Destiny™ roleplaying games."

Interesting - they've tried to cross pollinate the two ranges before, we've seen articles before that were along the line of "Here's how you use X-Wing with your edge games!", but the two game engines are more or less incomparable.

But I've never considered going from Edge to X-Wing. I'm not sure how the mechanics would fit, but that seems a much easier fit than going from X-Wing to Edge.

Uhhhhh, they used a named NPC from EoE. Am I missing something or is that it? If it is, it's hardly a big deal.

This definitely isn't the first time- Old Teroch is from the RPG. They're just making a big deal of it because they're running out of suitable characters for the ships, so 'here's a grab-bag of scum' works best.
