Finished cleaning up the white spray catastrophe on all four ships. Started to apply the basecoat colors. If there is something worse to paint than a TIE Fighter wing its a TIE Punisher wing. But hey, its starting to look like what ive had in mind.

I am not quite sure yet if I should weather it down when finished or leave it as clean as possible. What do you think?

I made a tough decision today which also arises another painting challange. The TIE Punisher is getting a different wing design.

If I am honest with myself the current design, as shown in the previous posts pictures, only looks ok if you look at it from the side. If you angle the ship just slightly I looks horrible. This comes with the angeld wings and them having a rather strong textur. Those two factors totaly break the current design.

But, I do have an idea for the new wing art. And if I manage to freehand it, which might just work, it will make for an awesome appearance on the mat. Surprise ?

Looks fantastic! My favorite shot is the one that is head on.
