Armada Sliding Scale Graph

Yes I have added the quasar and hammerhead. I need the measurement of the model to add the MC75.

I will edit the first page when I upload the new graphs

It would be possible to adjust the function. I don't want to put the effort into making this one more complicated. However if someone were to create it I could incorporate it.

Just a heads up; the Quasar we see in Rebels is much larger than the legends-era figures for its size. The Legends era is 340m long, only slightly longer than a Nebulon-B, but shots of the Phoenix Nest from Rebels show that it dwarfs the Nebulon and isn't that much smaller than the Interdictor. Unfortunately the new Quasar hasn't yet gotten an official measurement yet.

Currently this is showing the Home One as oversized by this scale, is that correct?

Yes I am aware and have used a best guestimate for the new rebels quasar. I used a size of 450 meters for now.

Yes this is correct. At 1200 meters for both the liberty and home one, they are both oversized. But home one more that the liberty.

Home one model is 185 mm

Well I guess I'll just wait till I buy my wave 7 stuff. I will try to post my updated graphs tomorrow. I made some updates a month ago just never got to post it. I have the Radus and Resurgent on there now. If we don't get an SSD I think we will get those. The Radus was built at the end of the GCW so it technically doesn't have to be a resistance ship. ?

Just did a quick measurement, and my Profundity came out to 184 mm. This was just using a tape measure, mind you, but you said the MC80 Home One was 185 mm and the two ships are almost exactly the same length, so the margin of error shouldn't be more than a few millimeters.

Great! Thank you. I can now update that data point also. I will measure it with my calipers when I can by my own.

I looked at ajusting the mc85 and Resurgent values to make the SSD smaller... It makes no drastic impacted.

I have another graph that forces the SSD to 2 to 3 feet. It throws the whole thing out of wack but. For the model to he playable I think the SSD will have to be in that range and if it's 3 feet epic play will be longways on the 3x6 play area. Note that a 3 foot model done not mean a 3 foot base. The base could be only 2 to 3 the size (area not length) of a large base.

Pretty sure a pair of 'large' bases placed far enough apart (with the cardboard token connecting them, as X-Wing does with it's "Epic" ships) could manage a hollow 4' plastic model. As you note, the bases don't have to be that wide, so the 3' play area (on the narrow side) isn't that big an issue. I mean, a base token 1.5' or 2' long fits just fine - nobody is going to think this ship would move any faster than speed 1 anyway, right?

For reference, @Varyag posted the LEGO SSD next to some Armada ships, and that thing is 50" long. Looks good!

@Rune Taq any chance you could implement the two new factions and possible sizes of the upcoming minis in this chart? (incl. Lucrehulk and Malov.)
Maybe with color coding for the different factions ;) That would be awesome...

I will look into it. Excel color codes by data set. So if I make each faction a different data set I can color code but then I'd have to make sure my best fit curve is still accounting for all 4 data sets. Also I don't have the miniature sizes of the 4 new ships. Im sure the in universe size is online for all 4 though. Once I can measure the models I was going to encorparate them. As of now I can put in the actual size of ships and then adjust the scale to match the existing plot for a questimate of what size the miniatures will be. This is more interesting for the Lucrehulk as the others will be pretty close to the existing curve. The Lucrehulk may end up as a more drastic scale depending on how FFG decides to incorporate it.

I threw in the size of 3170 meters for the Lucrehulk and if I match then use the existing trendline (best fit curve) I get a model size of 10.7 inches roughly. I will post the plot asap. Can't really get now.

What scale are the Squadrons roughly in Armada? I would like to know the rough size an ISD would have to be to be in similar scale with them.

I will figure it out and get back to you.
