I haven't used anything with Snipe yet, but playing around with Quasar builds has left me wondering this; Snipe shows an attack figure beside the keyword. Can that be boosted, or is that a set number regardless of passive effects? Specifically I'm looking at Saber Squadron with a Snipe of 4. Say that squadron was being activated by a ship with Flight Controllers (+1 to anti-squadron), and within range of Howlrunner (+1 blue die). I know Flight Controllers does give the boost to Snipe, but I can't find anything to say whether Howlrunner does (possibly because it's an edge case...).

All Attacks.

That's what I thought. So I do get to Snipe 6 with my Saber Squadron. Well that's both hilarious and tear inducing.

Flight controllers won't work. The "anti-squadron armament" is the number of dices specified by dice symbols. Snipe is another value specified by a text in the card's description. Therefor the sniping ability won't be affected by FC because thst affects the armamrnt not the ability.

First: It is even in the FAQ:

Quote

Flight Controllers
This effect also increases a squadron’s armament while it is attacking with snipe.

Second: Even the Snipe wording is saying it this way:

Quote

You can attack squadrons at distance 2 with an anti-squadron armament of X blue dice.

This wording is saying, that the snipe attack is using anti-squadron armament dice, just not the number that is on the card but instead the number of dice equal to the snipe. Everything after this can be modified like anything else.

the FAQ also stated this. Flight Controllers definitely boosts snipe.
