Couple of Questions fron new poster

By Keirou2, in Talisman Rules Questions

Hey guys.

Q1: Monk -
After reading the card, and another thread in this forum. Will this allow you to use ANY craft you gain as added strength in ANY strength related activity (Battle against sentinal, dragon in cave, the inner region next[D6 mobs with 4str] (next to valley of fire), OR
Does it only allow you to use your BASE craft in strength battles, and MUST you add it (ie. I have strength 2 and come up against EKOR and want to fight it with my strength rather then strength and craft.)

Q2: Priest -
Allowed to kill any SPIRITS at will, and not take them as a trophy, doing so however lets you take 1 spell.
Does this mean for example you get gathering, and have 10 spirits you can kill all 10 and claim your full component of spells, OR, can you pick and choose what ones to kill. Assuming that when multiple mobs are on 1 space they are treated as 1 mob with combined str / craft I would assume it means you are allowed 1 spell, and must kill ALL of them.
Are you allowed to kill stuff that spawns in the tomb (Whytes, Shades, etc.) using this method?

Q3: Dark Cultist -
If you land on a square with multiple mobs and defeat them, do you get buffs for each one.
Do you get buffs for sentinel, mob in forrest, guy in tavern, or person in crags.
If you take the buff, do you ALSO get to keep the adventure card as a trophy aswell.

Q4: Multiple Mobs -
Say I manage to be someone with 5 base strength, go up against the Ekor (flees if more then strength 2) AND a Dragon on the same sqaure (Ruins for example) -- Does the Ekor flee even though they are both strength creatures and are attacked as 1.
Should I draw 2 mobs that have conditions (Yeti, roll a dice to see if you lose a life from boulder throw) and (Goblin Trapper, roll 2 dice take lowest roll (ithink)) do you follow both conditions, just 1, if so which one, or is it treated as just a general mob with higher strength.

Q5: Todify -
If cast on say a miser dragon (str8) and is then killed, when taken for a trophy can it be turned in for the +1 strength or not as it was effectively only a str 1 in battle.?

Only in battle, as per the text. I think it says "may", so if you want to hack about with Str 2, I suppose you can.

You can pick I believe. Only the roll of 1 at Crags is a Spirit (just because its name is that), other are merely Craft Creatures, so no zapping them. Also note that not all Enemies who attack with Craft are Spirits, some are Enemy-Monster, so Priest has to fight them.

Only 1 roll on the chart for killing a combo-Enemy. Note that if you kill a mob of Str Enemies and then a mob of Craft Enemies, you get 1 roll for each mob. IIRC, it says on the card "Enemy", so only Adventure cards with that keyword. And yes, you keep the trophies as well.

Ekor still flees (mentioned in the FAQ). You follow both conditions, need to roll for Yeti and then Trapper.

Trophies don't remember what ratio there were. There is a Goblin King in the Dungeon that adds +1 Str to all with Goblin in the title (or something like that). When you take a Goblin as trophy, it's still Str 2 regardless of what it was when you killed it.

RE:Q1 so if I kill say 70pts of craft monsters, get +10 craft, i then have str + craft +10 for all strength battles?

RE:Q3 Doesnt getting the buff + the trophy make the cultist slightly op?

#1: Monk's card states "Craft value" (aka Starting Craft). Hence, he'll add +3, even if his Craft is 20. Brainwave from Frostmarch doubles your Craft Value for a turn, so you could grab +6 for a turn.

#3: Some people claim so, I haven't found this to be true. DC is a good character, upper-mid level would be my classification, not among the best. Even if you do get a buff, it can just as easily be a worthless gold or Fate (or even Spell when you're already maxed out). And she still has to get those kills in the first place, with 1 Fate to begin with, to go with 3/3 stats, depends on the draw. If you're worried about her, could always attack her early and kill her demonio.gif .
