Torpedo

By Fenn Rau, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Can I use two of the same torpedos

As in "I have two torpedo slots; can I fill each of them with a Proton Torpedo for example?" YES, definitely. Early in the game it would have been impossible to fill those slots if you couldn't put the same type of torpedo in both slots.

Now outside of equipping them I'd say the general answer to "can I use two of the same torpedo" may be no. You can't use a single upgrade card. Each one would be used individually.

However, while you can equip two of the same torpedo, there's generally never a good reason to do so now that Extra Munitions exists.

Well the plasma torpedos are really good so I did it for the

k-wing

They are, but if you use the Extra Munitions card that came with the K-wing you could get two uses of your Plasma for 5 points instead of 6 points, and get double uses on any bombs you might equip at the same time.

This is very true at least for now. Of course in a more general situation you could still equip two of the same missile or bomb when you don't have the slot for Extra Munitions.

Thanks
