I really want the sect the Dragon are fighting to be the Pure Land Sect of Lotus Shinseism.

I personally would prefer to be sect they are fighting more like the Spider monks (not necessarily with Shadowlands connection).

I like the idea of the L5R version of the Yellow Turbans.

The Rokugan equivalent yes.

I hope it's Fudoism. In classic L5R ir was we never learned anything beyond it was "heretical", but not developed beyond that like, what exactly was the heresy about their philosophy. We do know that they were opposed to P'an Ku, but that sounds quite reasonable.

Meh I just do what I want is not a particularly robust philosophic grounding. He decried the Shinsei and ancestral reverence. Me I want some rabble rousing peasants and a good commentary on the nature of compassion as a virtue and its necessity in those who rule.

Plus let's be honest if the Mirumoto school is good for anything it would probably be fighting lightly armed peasants.
