So I am an old-time CCG player. I am from the school that a card has to be flexible and powerful even it has side effects. Hit hard and deal with the issues later.
So Electroshock vs One Quarter Portion. Why do you prefer one over the other?

Personally I prefer Electroshock, simply because it doesn't give your opponent the benefit of a resource. Ralely when I have an Electroshock to use, do I have an opponents die to remove that's worth 3+ that would warrant the One Quarter Portion instead.
Except Vader; and some nasty supports and upgrades. I guess I am old-school and just want a card to work no exception. But I have had so little experience with the Meta to know how bad that resource would cost me in the long run. The irony I really like Doubt.
Edited by DJRAZZIt depends against the deck youre playing against where 1 resource against emoVader or DTroopers can be good b/c they dont have any resource sides. Against Han or Jabba/Unkar, not so much.
However, if you run a good control deck thats using a lot of disrupt and discard, you arent too worried about it.

Thanks.
OQP is a control choice. Control decks generally want to stop big threats now, and will look to have answers to whatever the opponent gets with their 1 extra resource.
Electroshock is a more aggressive choice, because you can disrupt your opponent without giving them an advantage in the damage race.
(Of course, a heavy control deck is likely to play both).
