Store Championship Objective manipulation

By xero989, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

So store championship are coming up and I'm kinda sick of everyone playing the same 2 or 3 lists. Seeing that wave 6 won't be released before the first store championship, so I've decided to come out of left field here with a list like this.

Faction: Galactic Empire
Points: 392/400

Commander: Darth Vader

Assault Objective: Station Assault
Defense Objective: Fire Lanes
Navigation Objective: Sensor Net

Arquitens-class Light Cruiser (54 points)
- Slaved Turrets ( 6 points)
= 60 total ship cost

Arquitens-class Light Cruiser (54 points)
- Slaved Turrets ( 6 points)
= 60 total ship cost

Interdictor-class Suppression Refit (90 points)
- Grav Shift Reroute ( 2 points)
- G7-X Grav Well Projector ( 2 points)
= 94 total ship cost

[ flagship ] Interdictor-class Suppression Refit (90 points)
- Darth Vader ( 36 points)
- Interdictor ( 3 points)
- Minister Tua ( 2 points)
- Fighter Coordination Team ( 3 points)
- Electronic Countermeasures ( 7 points)
- Targeting Scrambler ( 5 points)
- G7-X Grav Well Projector ( 2 points)
= 148 total ship cost

2 Lambda-class Shuttles ( 30 points)

So yes it has two interdictors it is a list about racking up points by going second. Why am I taking 2 interdictors well I want two G-7 grav well projectors for maximum deployment control. Would like grav shift reroute, to move obsticals as needed could push obsticals into deployment zone, could pull stations closer, could move obsticals to protect my flank etc. And we'll the shrimp list is popular so targeting Scramblers helps against that list.

Strategic squadrons are not really a thing in my meta so not concerned about running into that.

Basically the list is a super turtle that is content to rack up points while doing nothing. Still have firepower from the arqus and Vader to take out ships as they come flying in.

I'm really just looking for some input as to what should be done to the list, I'm very open really the only stipulation is that I want a list that thrives on going second and racking up points and has at least one intordictor so how would you build a list like this?

Not sure your bid is high enough to ensure that you win initiative. At my last store tourney, I had a 10 point bid and didn't win initiative a single time.

EDIT: Dropping fighter coordination teams is probably your best bet to improve your bid.

Forgot to add something

I have been experimenting with Dual Interdictors as well, with some mixed results.

My lists have been around 2 Interdictors and lots of Decimators, but otherwise with the same goal. Go second. Turtle. I do okay versus standard fleets. However, against fleets with a focused purpose around destroying enemy ships as fast as possible, I struggle.

However, I have not attempted to shore up the offensive weakness of Dual Interdictors wth Vader and the whole Arquitens angle you are trying. How has that worked out?

I have not even been able to take the list to the table. I was hoping to a few days ago but my opponent could not make it.

As a hefty proponent of Dual-Interdictor lists, I believe part of the problem here is the Tactics.

Turtling is not rewarding. It hands initiative and combat direction to the opponent. It allows them to focus on one heavy threat at a time, at their leisure. This allows them to focus down what should be very strong ships like Interdictors, and limits your combat response.

That's why the "Nose Punch" was based on pure and raw aggressiveness. The twin Interdictors launched their fighter strike and then followed them up themselves, going full speed, driving the two wedges basically side-by-side into the opponent where neccessary... This takes the combat initiative and focus from the enemy, who is now not only reacting, but don't have free reign to run to objectives while you fail to stop him at long range, and instead has to focus on the fact that TWO 9-11 hull things are in his face and shooting him with Double-Arcs that are reminiscent of an ISD-IIs front Arc...

But hey, that's just my experience with them, anyway.
