[Project] Pilots that would be ridiculously good in other ships

I'm working on a project, similar to a competitive version of Heroes of the Atturi Cluster, and I'm looking for input. But I'm hoping this could also be a fun design exercise.

1. What are some pilot abilities that would be ridiculously too good if the pilot were driving a different machine?
The first big example that I thought of was Pure Sabacc piloting a TIE/x7 Defender. Come up with some of the most insane combinations of pilot/ship that you can, please. The preference would be to stay within the same faction, but if you can think of some fun cross-faction examples, those might be interesting also.

2. What change could you make to the pilot ability that keeps the power level about the same from the original ship to the new ship.
Using the above example, if Pure Sabacc's ability was "...until you suffer 2 or more hits or crits..." then I think it would be fine even in other ships, and exactly identical in his original ride.

Omega Leader in almost any other ship.

TIE/sf specifically. Juke/Comm Relay/Sensor Jammer/LW Frame would be insane (just have a ship with Hyperwave feed the Evade token). +1 attack, +2 health, unavoidable Sensor Jammer, rear arc....

Wedge Antilles in a VCX

Darth Vader in...well, pretty much anything. TIE Phantom immediately jumps to mind, though.

Wampa in anything capable of carrying a mangler cannon.

Arvel Crynyd in a VCX. Ram people and fire five dice and they can't return fire.

Wedge in an ARC. -1 agility from both ends. Regen, C3PO, barrel rolls, PTL, PS9, oh yes!

Turr Phennir in a Decimator! Roll or boost after attacking. Yikes! He can miss, boost into range 1, then gunner! Then barrel roll out of arc!

Epsilon Ace in a Tie Phantom. PS12!!

Inquisitor in a phantom.

5 dice at all ranges! Also known as "CANT TOUCH DIS"

Vader, Soontir, Jax, Turr, OL in just about any other ships are scary. Some of the best pilot abilities in the game on some of the worst ships.

I think the Phantom would be worse. Give him Weapons Engineer for two Target Locks, FCS to be able to actually use the target locks normally, VI for PS 10, and Advanced Cloaking Device for the old recloak game. Nasty stuff.

The tugboat agility = speed guy in a shadow caster. Just never slow down.

Biggs in a Brobots list. You have to shoot one Aggressor, but you can't because you have to shoot the other Aggressor, but you can't shoot that one because you have to shoot the other one...the game would implode.

There's no paradox, they merely protect each other. You'd just force your opponents to bring ordinance (probably advanced homing+boba crew) or arc-dodge so you only have 1 brobot in arc. It's strong against swarms but not much else.

Biggs in a Defender would be fairly absurd. 3-3-3-3 statline with free evade tokens.

Sabine in every ship. Particularly the Outrider for ultimate arc-dodging.

Corran Horn in a Ghost with Finn crew = double-taps of 6 dice primaries at R1.

Dengar in an E-wing - PS 9, double shots and regen.

The list goes on, but I have to say the ultimate would be Corran Horn in a phantom - PS 10 with VI, and a 5 die double-tap.

Countdown in something with low Agi and high HP, like a VCX or Decimator.

Nah, then you would need to stay uncloaked. Might be alright every now and then vs arced ships, but it would pretty much never be worth it if you play vs. turrets.

I second OL in phatom with VI, Weap. Eng. and ACD. I would however swap FCS out and sub sensor jammer in.

Tycho in most anything.

Would love to see a Tycho in a T65/70

Sabine in a Raider - "When you reveal your maneuver dial you may execute a boost or barrel roll"...

Now the top of my list...

Biggs in any of the tanks.

Pure sabacc in an aggressor would be even more crazy. Take a HLC and you're shooting 5 attack dice evert round until you've taken 6 damage.

All the T65 pilots in T70s.

Dash in a K-Wing, advanced SLAMing all over the board with no regard for any obstacles.
