Store Championship List crafting

By Rogue Dakotan, in Imperial Assault Skirmish

I haven't played in a tournament since regionals back in January. And then I had some time away from the game. And besides that it's just been the games for The Jodo Cast videos.

I really enjoyed my list from the last video we did, which I threw together just to put new paintjobs on the table.

It was my first time playing with all of those units besides 3PO and Chopper and I had a lot of fun with it. As much as I like having my pretty rancor on the table, it seemed to be a weak link so here is an updated list I've come up with that replaces the rancor:

BT-1 [6]
C-3P0 [2]
C1-10P [3]
DEVIOUS SCHEME [1]
JAWA SCAVENGER [2]
JAWA SCAVENGER [ELITE] [3]
ONAR KOMA [6]
VINTO HREEDA [5]
WEEQUAY PIRATE [5]
WEEQUAY PIRATE [ELITE] [7]

Total Health: 70
Total Figures: 11
Total Activations: 9

Not sure if Devious Scheme is better here than maybe a targeting computer on BT?

First pass at a command deck:

▪ ASSASSINATE [3]
▪ BALLISTICS MATRIX [1]
▪ DIRTY TRICK [2]
▪ DRAW! [1]
▪ ELEMENT OF SURPRISE [0]
▪ EXTRA PROTECTION [1]
▪ FLEET FOOTED [0]
▪ MITIGATE [0]
▪ ON THE LAM [3]
▪ POSITIONING ADVANTAGE [0]
▪ SMUGGLED SUPPLIES [1]
▪ STRENGTH IN NUMBERS [1]
▪ TAKE INITIATIVE [0]
▪ TOOLS FOR THE JOB [2]
▪ TOXIC DART [0]

I would probably take Targetting Computer, but you're fine either way. Do you have access to a second elite Weequay? If so I would swap out the regulars (whom I'm a fan of, don't get me wrong) and the regular Jawa for a second eQuay. Of course, if you do that, my question would be who will be your fodder figure to open doors (and probably die immediately)? For that you could downgrade Vinto to Greedo, who when focused is great in that role because he at least still gets a shot off. But at this point you're deciding among awesome options :-)

I might be able to borrow a second eQuay card, but don't really feel like it lol.

I wanna keep Vinto over Greedo for 2 reasons:

1. He's cooler.
2. I seem to have lost my Greedo figure...

I also second the 2nd eWeequay they're just too good. You could always take out the rJawa, Devious Scheme and rWeequays for Shyla or Bossk to have another big beater. Or even rWeequays + DS for Jabba.

I might jump in on this advice for Store championship list, I havent gone to one at all and am thinking of this for my list.

Just wanted to get opinions on the list. Going to be practicing with it hopefully on Saturday.

TBH at first glance it looks pretty risky with only 4 units that are going to be doing all the heavy hitting for you. As soon as you loose a weequay, Iggy, or BT, you're going to feel it hard.

Hmm okay yeah didnt think of it that way, I figured the extra support from Hera would help out.

Haha shows I dont exactly have the hang of competitive list building

Hera is no slouch.

I for some reason find the idea of rJawa with Last Resort amusing,The Utinni bomber. Run them up to the other guys eWeequays. You can't kill the thing until everyone moves away from it, wasting the action for hidden and they are resilient enough to maybe survive an attack or two. With a surge result they literally harass other figures.

Hera is a waffle though, some times she shoots range 3 and some times range 10, her damage is fairly limited as well, she's difficult to modify too.

i think not taking Blaze of Glory is a mistake for competitive play, it's a game breaker like son of Skywalker.

WEEQUAY PIRATE [5] elite are so much better especially for the point differential. Little Jawa vs jabba can actually be a liability. Hired guns at work just as well if you can't find your Greedo, and get you that point for T.Computer.
WEEQUAY PIRATE [ELITE] [7]

First pass at a command deck:

▪ ASSASSINATE [3]
▪ BALLISTICS MATRIX [1]
▪ DIRTY TRICK [2] I find primary target useful, heightened reflexes as well
▪ DRAW! [1]
▪ ELEMENT OF SURPRISE [0]
▪ EXTRA PROTECTION [1]
▪ FLEET FOOTED [0]
▪ MITIGATE [0]
▪ ON THE LAM [3]
▪ POSITIONING ADVANTAGE [0]

I think you are missing Negate in your command deck, best 1 point card in the game ;-).

I also don't like dirty trick (not that many melee guys being played currently. Pirates, IG.. etc all blow stuff up from distance). Heightened Reflexes is really solid.

You could also consider black market as the last point. Gives you a lot more draw and you have the Jawas to pile the damage on. Either that or devious scheme, just because of Anchorhead Bar.

Would you rather have regular Weequays, or Greedo + a one point upgrade somewhere...

Thinking of ditching the regular weequays from my list.

Id say Greedo + upgrade, Greedo is a great objective runner for sure. Plus his parting shot can hit relatively well

That just means I have to paint greedo before the 17th...

6 days! I believe in you!

Here's what I'll be running in Louisville on Saturday (because I want to taste victory for once).

Headhunter on the rJawa because LULZ. If I face up against Chophunter, I'll still be drawing 3 cards per round.

headhunter on a harassing jawa sounds funny

Scheme or Prey on the Weak on anyone would be better than Headhunter on a jawa that probably is never going to activate it. Or even an elite Jawa, or a single ugnaught would be more useful.

Funny though.

This is a list I've been toying around with, it is in the early stages and is a bit all over but I find it has a lot of good synergies:

12 IG-88 w/ Focus on the Kill
7 E. Weequay
3 E. Jawa
6 BT-1 w/ TC
2 C3P0
1 Temp Alliance
4 Hera
3 Gideon
1 Devious Scheme (back and forth between Black Market)

CC:

3 On the Lam
3 Assasinate
2 Blaze of Glory
2 Heightened Reflexes
2 Tools for the Job
1 Strength in Numbers
1 Negation
1 Ballistics Matrix
0 Celebration
0 Element of Surprise
0 Take Initiative
0 Urgency
0 Devotion
0 Positioning Advantage
0 Targeting Network

The CC's fluctuate but this is the build I've spent the most time with. I like this list because you've got a lot of up front fire power, a lot of range and a lot of burst potential all wrapped up in great support. BT and IG are self focusing, so C3 and Gideon can focus on the Pirates, Jawa and/or Hera. Hera is great off the bat to help get your units that extra movement point (Geez that is useful, way more useful than you think), then once per round you have that all important added damage, range or surge. At first this didn't seem like that big of a deal to me, until I played with it a few times, the fact you can add it DURING the attack and don't have to decide before makes it OP. I feel like a simple tweak for Boba would be letting him choose his ability during the attack versus before, but anyway. 4 points for all that and a three dice attack to boot makes her a great asset.

I toyed around a lot with using 0-0-0, I've always been a big buff/debuff guy, but I find he just has a lot of trouble getting into position. Anyone who sees him coming just shoots him down quick before he can be very effective. For 4 points I just find that Hera brings so much more to the table, so I stuck with her.

CC's are always season to taste, different strokes for different folks, but I find I've got a good mix of the hunter/droid/smuggler cards, but am lacking in the leader department. This list has 3 leaders on the roster so that is something I could improve on to take advantage of, Planning instead of Urgency is one card I flip back and forth on.

Thoughts?

Maximum LULZ would be getting rid of Gideon, dropping Onar for Vinto, adding Hera. Then Hera follows the rJawa around the board for extra surge-plosions.

But I don't want to be *that* funny. ?
