I'll note that if you invest in your Prideful little Gunso here, you have some 3P dudes to help defend on Politics (or go aggro) if that's what you need next turn. Nice play choice. Great design.

Unicorn, possibly, probably a lot of out of hand effects to get that feel of charging in.

From the FB Video, Kat and Brad seemed to indicate that Crane splashing Lion was a good way for Crane to fix some of their military problems, which makes me think Lion might actually have a decent number of Conflict Characters.

I took that as more of lion having good military modifier cards for example Way of the lion. That would allow for more swarming tactics in the dynasty phase as we see with this character and the lion holding. But hey we will know more in 2 weeks.

Except you cannot play Way of The Lion as a splash. However, Brad did seem to say that Lion's conflict stuff focused more on defensive things so maybe they have events that help prevent or mitigate certain Conflicts?
Also, as a side note, Kat mentioned a Province that lets you switch the Conflict type while playing Crane so I wonder if that is a Neutral similar to Elemental Fury, but for Conflict Type instead of Element.

As of right know I love their take on keywords. Ancestral is not only a good way to avoid attachments from causing too much card disadvantage, but is really appropriate to show the importance of tradition and the ancestry in the setting. Proud is beyond flavorful for Lion, although I could see it in characters of other Clans as well. And I really like having Bushido virtues as keywords.
In general I feel like they have managed to use the mechanics to deepen the immersion in the setting.

I see the Lion buying a lot of characters in the dynasty but not actually doing very many other actions. Many of the "Lion" conflict cards seem to be restrict to within a conflict.

We've literally only seen the full text of a single Lion Conflict card. The only other one we've seen is a partial and it's a Conflict Character.

Had Lion in quotes in reference to neutral Military cards like Banzai they might be regularly in Lion decks. This is in comparison to how few Crane cards actually require a conflict to play.
The cantrip effect is not to be underestimated.
Is it worth putting fate on the personality? Hmm, I think it greatly depends on the deck itself. A swarm deck will simply want to get more personalities in play and putting 0 fate on the Gunso allows the personality to give an easier turnaround on the honored status. A more methodical Lion deck might want to put 1 or 2 fate on the guy to keep a 4/3 around longer.
Pride is an interesting passive. It makes it more rewarding to go into conflicts with just the thought of winning, rather than winning and breaking that province. The passive also seems rather good when paired with those revealed Crane conflict cards too.

I dig the flavor of Ancestral in particular. That my fallen hero's yari is collected by the survivors and brought to her home, to be taken up generations (read: turns) later by her descendant, or maybe her own reincarnation (duplicate copy).
I'll keep saying it, they've done an amazing job of meshing mechanics and flavor together. When I saw pride all I could think was, "Brilliant!"
I'm excited to see all the little Lions (and I'm totally making a deck named that...)
Gunsou does everything a typical Lion swarm wants: Efficient power, replaces himself, puts on secondary pressure via pride.

If he bounces you're going to lose an honor and if he has no Fate on him you'll have no opportunity to rectify that. Even if he does have Fate you've paid for a turn of having a 0/0 character.
I wonder if Lions will over commit to avoid that situation. I suppose it'd be a fitting result of pride.
Then there's stuff like Crane using Doji Challenger to harpoon him into a fight they're already winning to dishonor him or drop him to neutral if he's already honored.
