I don't really play scum, but I need that card. I hate paying near the price of an expansion just for a card. I think I know the answer to this question but wanted to see if anyone has insight about the Mist Hunter expansion.
Edited by BlodVargarnaIs there any reason to pick up mist hunter other than adaptability?
It's also got a copy of tractor beam in there too?
But if you don't play scum, you're maybe better off just trying to source the card?
Zuckuss crew, 4LOM crew, the System slot card whichever one it is. All the upgrades in it are worth having. And Zuckuss pilot is actually no slouch.
Well I don't recommend to buy expansions just because some upgrade cards, unless you have budget for it.
I do buy pretty much all the expansions, just for the cards, but I can afford to do so most of the time. I hardly ever play with other factions, only Scum, but that has to do with our group where we were only three persons me including and one was playing Imperial and other Rebels, so it was obvious choice. I started to play X-Wing at the time when Scum wasn't yet in the game, so I got other ships and switch factions according to whom I was playing against.
I guess there is way to get your hands on cards without getting expansions, but hard to get just the cards you would want. If you are competitive player then it is "no-brainer" to get everything and beyond!
The model is one of the best released for the game, IMO.
And it's a fun ship to fly, unless you want a chance to win a tournament.
Zuckuss is pretty fun and the crew in there is great casual or tourney.
Having a Mindlinkable generic makes it usable. Not for winning worlds, but if you want to have some fun jank Mindlink is a good way to go in my opinion. Just avoid strong turrets and ships with green turns and you have a challenging, potentialy lethal, and more importantly fun to fly and fly against list. Gives you an opportunity to get out those Scycks you bought because the model looked neat back in the day, too.
Adaptability shouldn't be that hard to come by on the secondary market.
That said, I personally took the approach of (almost) never buying single cards, and just buying the expansions. Sure, that made me spend more cash and it took me longer to finish my primary faction, but it gave me the opportunity to shift factions at will, which is great- I'm kinda bored with scum, so now I'm playing pretty much only rebels and having a lot of fun.
Depending on the list, a ruthless freelancer for with FCS and Outlaw Tech is a pretty action efficient little ship for 27 points. I think it's under-rated.
Personally I collect one of everything for X-Wing because I love how the ships look and maybe I will get around to playing non-imp ships. I would tell you do to the same, along with this if HOTAC ever gets around to adding scum missions it might see some play....
Edited by CubanboyI'm no expert, just purchased one a few months ago, but it's still sealed as my list that needed Adaptibility was scratched. But, a friend flies and enjoys this squad and it's quite good:
Zuckuss: VI+Dengar+title+(tractor)
Latts Razzi: mangler+boba+weapons engineer
Mux: ion turret+greedo
Adaptability, Tractor Beam, and 2 copies of Electronic Baffle are nice. Whenever I need a few cards from an expansion, I'll sell everything else I don't need. That seems to be better than buying 3rd party for a few cards. Plus, if you really never see yourself flying the ship, selling the model shouldn't be that big of a deal and there are those that want the ship for spamming a certain ship type.

I bought two almost entirely because I wanted double cloaking devices. Imagine my sadness when it was a unique upgrade
(Don't regret it though, it's a nice looking ship and I want to have two for when I eventually get to painting/modding it).
Real Star Wars fans buy everything. Tractor beam is a nice card in the pack.

Good point!

I'm sorry I don't remember seeing the Mist Hunter in anything, and I guess 4-Lom and Zuckuss had about 2 seconds of screen time each, so it makes perfect sense to buy it now!
Cloaking Device and Electronic Baffle are in there too.
Don't know why all this love to Zuckuss pilot. It simply suck. You have to carry him to get valuable, and then he will go down fast.
Plus, you are trade a 50% of hit for a nearly 33% evade result. Really? It sounds weird to me.
4-Lom pilot is way better than him., expecially in this Mindlink meta.

The problem with Zuckuss pilot is that it's too easy to kill him, but if he's not the #1 target he can do some serious damage.
His ability is situational. If you've got better dice mods than the target the odds stack in your favour.

Precisely.
Where 4-Lom is more reliable in utility. And he is not the number 1 target. So I can't get all of this love for him :-/

Even if you haven't, the odds are usually in your favour. Naked reds are better than naked greens.

Actually, TWO copies of Adaptability for that matter...
... so even Gooderer!
Electronic Waffle is a very useful card, especially on ships like the Imperial Shuttle or even the Ghost.
And Quickdraw.

Mindlinked Gand findsman actually won the first atlanta store champ this year.
Never underestimate free actions on a ship that can take evades.
It's a great expansion. The generics are well-priced and I love using them - I don't mind if a ship ain't got a lot of green dice, if it has the health to make up for it. Zuckuss is a great pilot too, if you have fully modded dice his ability is crazy!
It's worth it for the upgrades too. In addition to Adaptability there's Electronic Baffle, Zuckuss (crew) and a Tractor Beam.
If you wanna have some real fun, take a generic with Electronic Baffle, Outlaw Tech and Dead Man's Switch. Do all reds, fire fully modded shots and trigger Dead Man's Switch when it's best to do so!
