Backdraft establishes the TL. Omega gets a full mod shot. Then Kestal gets her homing missile. 4 hits on Fenn pretty much means he is dead unless he gets 2 natural evades, and any damage backdraft or Omega did just makes Kestals job easier, because Kestal will cancel all other dice, no autothrusters, and it doesnt matter how many focus tokens he has from mindlink. After inital engagement, she has synced turret giving her rerolls in arc, and can use TLs from S/Fs for out of arc rerolls and then use ability to push damage through.

She will obviously be the number one target, leaving the two S/Fs to clean up. And they will share each others TLs getting full mods every round.

Warms that looks solid. Any thoughts by anyone with using Kestal with Ruthlessness?

Why not drop to adaptability on kestal and run Omega Leader instead of the specialist?

What are people's thoughts in Kestal now we've had more time to consider her ability? I suppose she's really only going to work best in lists that support get ability? She is quite squishy to be building a list around though...

Kestal is great. I want to give her all the focus tokens.

Lieutenant Kestal (22),

  • Expertise (4),
  • Twin Laser Turret (6),
  • Lightweight Frame (2)

Major Stridan (32),

  • Fire-Control System (2),
  • Navigator (3),
  • Intelligence Agent (1),
  • Kylo Ren's Shuttle (2)

“Omega Leader" (21),

  • Comm Relay (3),
  • Juke (2)
I want this to be the most unfair list possible

Lieutenant Ketsal needs to be cheap - I'd say anything over 30 points is pushing it, maybe 32 with the obligatory LWF:

Lieutenant Kestal (32)
TIE Aggressor (22), Lone Wolf (2), Twin Laser Turret (6), Lightweight Frame (2)

“Omega Leader” (26)
TIE/fo Fighter (21), Comm Relay (3), Juke (2)

“Whisper” (42)
TIE Phantom (32), Mara Jade (3), Fire-Control System (2), Veteran Instincts (1), Advanced Cloaking Device (4)

Ketsal is a good (perhaps great) tank here with Lone Wolf, and the TLT helps her keep some distance. Omega leader is really just a game closer - only good against some things, but great to have around. Whisper is a damage dealer, as always. I'm tempted to go with Kylo on her, in case of a Dengar or Fenn match up, but I think Mara will get more mileage in the long run.

Ketsal is a very promising pilot with a lot of good options. I'm looking forward to trying her with an Ion cannon turret as an ace-counter, and with a dorsal turret and VI as a 29 point pocket ace.
