If anyone is interested in the Mantis shirts, IM me over at the Kobune Port.

The Phoenix are actually attempting to cobble something up. While I won't be attending, I'll try to share any relevant data as it reaches me.

A note on the Dinner for Villains. B-Dubs fills up extremely quickly during the convention, and while they very kindly put aside space for us to use, there isn't a lot extra. If you would like to attend, please DO NOT just turn up on the night - there are sign-up threads over at Shinden Fu Leng and on the FFG forum. Please let me know if you're attending and we can adjust accordingly, but anyone turning up without doing so is taking away a seat from someone who is meant to be there. Thanks!

@PhoenixInferno

The Crab Clan dinner is Thursday @9:00 pm. Will update when location is solidified.

The discord channel is also planning to have a meetup.

Lion Clan Dinner will be at Mikado, Thursday the 17th @ 8:30pm!

They're not a clan, they don't count ;)

Though if I wind up including what I want people to call "Summer Court", then I'll add the Discord thing too.

Don't be hatin'

Who's organizing that? Is that the barbecue?

To be fair I am more inclined to attend that one than any other. Clan loyalty will be less of a thing in this game where you don't want to limit yourself since you want to save money in a CCG. Yes I know there was other reasons too of course. But in a LCG you get every card for every clan anyway. At least with the discord they are people I interact with everyday. And i always suffer from factional ADHD in any game anyway.

Also, By whose definition of "Barbecue"? My friend once went up North to a barbecue, and they just were serving ham. Not what was expected at all.

And my Crane cards will make superb target practice. (Kidding. Mostly.)

... but in all seriousness, I'll probably give away most of my Crane, Lion, Scorpion, and Crab cards to help get the game off the ground locally. Obviously I'll keep whatever I think will help my Phoenix deck insanity, but...

Phoenix dinner news!

8pm Friday at Rock Bottom Brewery!

Reservation "Michael Dolph"

So, same time as the Crane and the Villains.

Same PLACE as the Crane.

I, for one, salute forcing maho-heads to choose their true allegiance...

Bump

hi, it's me Chris. message me if you're interested in rsvping to the crab dinner

Trouble is my clan's dinner conflicts with an L5R 4e adventure, which also conflicts with the Thursday tournament I had no idea I'd get a second crack at. If only I could know for sure how many other players will still show up after this new development.

Thanks, Iweko.

Looking forward to this!

Hope to be at the Phoenix dinner! I've got the Friday tourney so if I'm off representing the Fire Chickens with some wins that's fine too. :D

So, I've never actually made it to one of these. And this year I'm bringing my two sons to jump in on L5R LCG from day one. We (and our friend Nathan) got into the initial event so we'll have cards and such - but my question is, can I bring a 13 year old and a 16 year old to one of these clan dinners? Or are kids considered inappropriate?

Most of them are taking place in bars, though I think they are bars that serve food, so kids are probably allowed in. There will be drinking, and it depends on how comfortable you are with your kids around random drunk strangers. I'm not sure people will be filtering themselves.

That being said, the community in general likes new blood, and as long as your kids are not annoying will probably be treated like adults. However, I am not an organizer, so I don't get much of a vote in this.
