Slots open for Alchemical Problems pbp

By TheShard, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

We have two openings!

We are a play by post campaign with a good streak of horror set post dark empire. With the final death of the emperor, his nasty Pandora's box of artifacts and half finished experiments have been unleashed back into the universe.

We are a motley crew of fixers, cleaning up and instigating Sith alchemical shenanigans.

We have a very active group, so interested players would have to be able to keep up!

We do a fair amount of combat, bit a lot of problem solving and sneaking/infiltration... So we encourage oddball and weird character concepts.

Our GM just introduced a npc Jawa big Game Hunter so that gives you an idea of things!

Oh, and our GM is awesome.

Info on where and how to apply would be helpful...

Hi TheShard, I have a very busy week ahead of me, but after that I would be interested in joining

Any information you would like from me?

Well check out the ic thread.

We got an artisan, archeologist, and two combat oriented characters...

You can submit something here, a link to a character sheet or a concept, the more history/background personality etc the better.

Ok so we might have a returning player, meaning it's down to a single slot.

I would love to play! I've never played PbP before though so I'd be a noob. I'll post a link to a character sheet later once I'm hope from work, unless by that time the spot is filled.

How often are players expected to post? Like does everyone get online at a set time and make a bunch of posts at once, or just post daily at minimum assuming someone else has posted?

As Shard noted, we have a returning player, so probably just a single slot opening up at this time.

This is a pretty active game, with players and GM frequently making daily post(s), as their availability permits (no particular time, necessarily).

This is my first pbp also, but the transition from tabletop hasn't been too traumatizing.

There is a lot of content to sift through, any chance you could provide an abridged version of the party and where the party is at story wise?

knight level character? All three books okay or is it a particular system? Is there a particular role the party is looking for?

Awesome, I assume RedEye gets first dibs since he posted before I did, but assuming either he chooses not to join or you end up with that second slot open I'd definitely love to play. I could definitely post daily, most common time would be in the evening after work (EST) or on lunch break.

I've already read the entire IC thread as I enjoy following the stories anyway and have been following it for a bit now. I haven't read any of the OOC thread, should I read all of that if I get in or just jump in where it's at?

Typo

So the idea is we are like the ghost busters of the star war universe, fixers dealing with rakghouls, sith mutated rancors, and a big bad that likes to line roads with arms and create splattered gore red carpets.

Our GM, is great at horror. However there's alot of interpersonal moments and humorous back and forths.

Right now we dropped in to a asteroid-mall, after a video was taken of a live rancor display gone wrong. Now we have to fight death troopers who've been threaten with madness, and we've just found out there's hallucinogenic gas being feed into our area.

We want oddball charecters and engaging backstories.

I'm not sure who got dibs but you can link something here, or put up a write-up here. We'll save the applications, as pbp's often have a high turnover rate.

starting character or knight level?

Knight.

I wouldn't worry too much about the OOC thread, until you're in. If there isn't a slot immediately available for you, just continue to keep up with the IC thread.

I don't believe there are restrictions on careers, but I would consult with the GM about a FaD character, just in case.

This is the (hypothetical OOC) ad Shard originally posted, which I responded to:

How would you describe dorrik and yorrik edge?

This is a leveled up version of the character sheet for a game I never got to play in, but I can adjust it.

Durrak is a reserved, but capable warrior, with strong opinions.

Yorik is gregarious, innocent (somehow he's retained that), and also deadly.

Yeah... Durrak doesn't like Jedi.

Yorik is from dantooine... He'll tell you.

Writing up a Clawdite Investigator, very film noir private eye type

oh wait @Edgehawk you said FaD careers needed to be run by GM?

Yup as the group has a generous amount of forcies.

Theres probably an EotE or AoR career that works for a private eye

Skip Tracer?

Oh yeah I forgot about the bounty hunter book, I'll have a look, maybe mix it with Marshall or Thief

@Edgehawk Skip Tracer looks perfect, thanks for that
