I am a little confused, I thought at one point (maybe on a podcast) it was discussed that Wave XI is not allowed? Didn't Wave XI come out on the 13th July and the Rules say the ban is after 15th July? I assume then that Wave XI is then approved?

I still haven't read all the missions to game plan a list and starting to freak out.

Wave XI is allowed, no cruise missiles. Guns for Hire is not part of Wave XI.

Also, I've only read the mission pack. No time for testing stuff, so I'm flying in with a mere mission briefing and my wits.

That's why, dang it

I flew everything once, but since this will be my first public outing, I doubt that gives me much of an edge.

Also no minefield mapper!

Oops. I lost the map

I think we did say that we wouldn't have time to think about it...and then they came out earlier than expected. So, we looked at what there was and said most of it was OK....with those exceptions listed.

Yes...it would be helpful to read all the missions! Reading them shouldn't take too long. Overall, though, going with a middle of the road group of ships should see you alright. It's not easy to build for specific lists...and you might not even get them! Just take ships you like to fly and enough options to fly them a few different ways and you should be good. At least, that's what I'm thinking.

You know, I should probably make up a hanger list for each faction.....just in case I get to play....or someone needs a list....or something.

Yeah Jim - you might need to be the first alternate player if the total player count is uneven.

I guess it is possible that three of us might need to jump in if a Round 4 table only has 1 player... Hmmmmm

ACK

Jim; just make a Scum list that can play for either side, and you'll be fine.

Round 4 missions might throw us a loop in terms of player counts. Computing...

I think the answer might be us having enough ships to field 3 round 4 lists, and being ready to sub in two players during a round 4 mission, one of which will control 2 players' worth of ships.

You guys make sure you catch some pics and video for us poor folk who'd love to fly it, so we get a taste of the action ?

We will certainly try. We've got a new camera rig to add to the rigs we already have plus two portable batteries to extend the recording time to a full day.

I'll have all my pilots wear a GoPro. Unfortunately, at 1/270 all you'll get is a pixel or two. . .

Although I do have a GoPro with a headband attachment... Video can be arranged, from a certain point of view.

Get your hype on with the Audio Dramas!

Rosters built, draft lists set. I need to start pulling cards and tokens but I'm sitting near ready.

Ditto. I need to find a few upgrade cards. Just to be clear, it's OK to have only 1 copy of upgrades and proxy duplicates ??

I have always just used an online builder. This "actual card" thing is giving me fits.

Yep- if you have one copy, then you're free to proxy as you need. If you don't have a copy of the original, you can still proxy but it needs to be approved by the HQ desk first.

The event just finished!

Grayskull base was blasted apart by an Imperial Raider, even as Imperial forces elsewhere in the asteroid cluster were ambushed and destroyed by rebel forces! Killjoy squadron was destroyed in the line of duty, defending their base to they bitter end. The Raider was later cornered and destroyed inside the asteroid cluster, but the Rebel victory was hollow at best...

Will there be a batrep, with pictures, in the appropriate subforum?

We'll be doing a write up and we also have a lot of video recorded for video batreps!

Once again, good job guys. Best X-Wing event I attended this weekend.

Even before I head home to the Bay Area tomorrow, a few notes:

(1) The Shuttle Tydirium guys are exactly as fantastic as I expected. Jim, Biff, J-Bot (and I called him that all day, which, if he got sick of it, he never showed), and Phil were amazing, and an incredible team.

(2) The scenarios were ridiculously fun. I suggested a tweak or two, at most, but that was after one run-through. Given thought, I have more trust in Phil and the guys than in my lame impressions.

(3) It was a very long day (16 hours!), and I was exhausted (I'm old and busted, and was operating on eight hours of sleep total over three days), but my buddy (dead last!) And I (second!) never even considered not completing every mission. They were that much fun.

(4) Congrats to Milton, Corey, and Neil! Milton, sorry we didn't successfully defend Grayskull; no doubt with a more skilled wingman, you would have!

(5) @Darth Meanie @LagJanson - Great to meet you!

Arrived safe at home after nearly 24 hours up. Long drive after the end of the convention.

@Biff, @heychadwick, I ran into the Imperial player while heading back to my booth after talking to you. She was looking hard to find me too. TIE Bomber dial recovered. Thanks again.

Awesome! I'm glad that was resolved quickly!

I can only second all of the above. I had a blast thanks to all the Shuttle Tydirium crew, and at was awesome to meet everyone. And it was cool to get to sit down across the table from @LagJanson. Great games, all.

Hey! Shouldn't you be watching the eclipse now? Seriously you were a great opponent. It was good to meet you.

Tagging @Jeff Wilder and the Crew. Always good to meet people. Good to see @rilesman again this year.
