Or you just organize 100-point tournaments until more expansions are available.

Once you're playing on 6x3 at 200pts, it's really hard to go back.

Agreed. Skirmish is basically a different game. Heroes like Kari can dominate Skirmish in a way that they never will at 200 points.

To the OP...

This is a game of bases. The models are basically just wound counters. My general rule of thumb for proxies is to allow them so long as it's obvious what they are AND they're painted/based. If you want to use unpainted models, use the ones that came with the game. If you bring a painted army to the table, I won't be picky about proxies/conversions. I would expect to more or less see WYSIWYG. In other words, I expect my ranged unit proxies to have ranged weapons.

This.

I'm willing too accept just about anything if it represents the unit well and is painted. However, if you're just throwing random unpainted plastic on the table I'll find someone else to play against.

Personally i love it when someone brings a well thought out painted counts-as army. This hobby is about creativity after all.

After seeing the silly shields that come with the crossbow Daquan I'm thinking about doing some proxying myself.
