Shuttle Tydirium Service Announcement: Going to biweekly format!

Listen via browser here!

Welcome aboard the shuttle tydirium for a short episode; we're mainly talking about why the podast will be going to a biweekly schedule.

Guys, I just listened to this episode ... and heartily agree and support you powering down to biweekly.

You don't want your hobby to become your job, and unless your hobby is podcasting not gaming, that's rapidly where you are headed (I don't know how other weekly gaming podcasts do it!). A two weeks (or three!) of dedicated gaming for every podcast episode sounds like a healthy balance.

Plus as a consumer, I'd rather have fewer quality episodes ... and I have a hard enough time listening to weekly releases. I'm three episodes behind on Shuttle Tydirium, so now I can catch up!

If you need more topic ideas, check out some of the long running casual squad list threads (the triple T-70 one is suitably epic), maybe revisit Epic and Team Epic formats, kick around the whys and wherefores of the Assault Gunboat, do some theory crafting on Episode VIII ship previews, take a look at my suggestion of Carcassonne: Star Wars for a casual campaign game ... lots of ways to recharge the casual batteries.

Save the shuttle! Save the dream!

I fully agree with the decision and the reason. Burn out is real. When the fun becomes more like work, it's time to step back and look at what's going on. I'm good with the bi-weekly.

Oh, and I flew a new list during the tournament this weekend that I'd like to submit to the shuttle as a B-Team. 4 Imperial Sigma Squadron fighters. :D I think I'll name it the "Chadwick Twitch" because of the reaction I'm sure to get over there.

This is why a lot of places use a Fortnight to depict a period of 2 Weeks...

Biweekly and Bi-weekly always confuse as to weather it means every 2 weeks, or twice a week... :D

But its certainly a great idea for all involved :)

You know, it's not even burnout. It's more....I don't have time to play X-wing! There have been a number of family events on game night that means I couldn't play. Also, I have been working on play testing the GenCon missions so much that I haven't gotten other games in. We haven't been able to talk about these games online for so long, so all these games have not counted towards what we can talk about on the show. It's just.....the show was dictating what we had to play as we needed content for the show. I just wasn't getting enough regular games in to fuel the show.

I haven't gotten a 100/6 game in for 2-3 months at this point. I've been too busy making content. So, I've got no B-team in the back of my head because I haven't even been playing regular games. I just need to get more time to game and generate content for the show.

Also....it's coming up on summer and many of us have vacations planned. We won't be around to record every week.

Vacation? Good grief. Get back in the recording studio, you lazy lot. If you're down a man, you keep fighting till you run out of chances! Or something like that.
