more of what

A card like mutual blackmail....states "When revealed, if you have more than one opponent, choose an opponent. You and that opponent cannot declare M challenges against one another this round."

What is the more than one opponent? More characters? not sure..thx

actual human being that you are playing against.

in a joust game (1 player v 1 player) you only have one opponent so such a card would have no affect.

in a melee game (either 1v1v1 or 1v1v1v1) you have at least 2 opponents and the card would have an affect and you choose which opponent.

Sorry. Personal pet-peeve. The word Lars is looking for there is "effect," not "affect."

Other than that, the answer is correct. The card literally means "more than one opponent" as in "more than one person playing the game against you."

so you are saying that these cards are useless unless playing against more than 1 player?

Yep. Mutual Cause has nice stats though.

Well, their effects are useless. Some people will play them in Joust just for the stats. Mutual Cause, at 3-3-2, is a particularly popular one in decks that like high-claim plots.
