Let's hear your Clan reveal predictions and the reasoning behind it!

Here's mine:

1. Crane

2. Lion

3. Phoenix

4. Scorpion

5. Unicorn

6. Dragon

7. Crab

This lineup hits all major game concepts through the first 4 clans as well as all three victory conditions.

Logically I'd like Scorpion in the third slot but I don't think they'll wait that long to showcase the magic.

Following that core we have Unicorn show us movement shenanigans and priority manipulation (First Player token). Dragon show us true balance and lots of attachments and Crab close it out with a strong military presence focused on defending and fortifying provinces!

Crane to give us the left hand.

Lion to showcase the right.

Crab to show a defensive military contrast to follow Lion's presumable offensive focus.

Dragon to showcase a clan that is the complete opposite of the duty bound Crab.

Phoenix to further expand upon the powers of the rings and how they are harnessed by shugenja.

Unicorn to show off some trixy battle abilities

Scorpion to show the rest of the clans what real trix should look like......and cuz you save the best for last

I predict the Mantis Reveal will cause many tears in the internet and be heralded by impotent threats to rage quit.

You are definitely overestimating how much anyone cares about the Mantis. If they were suddenly in the base set, the general response would be "cool, more Clans", not threats to quit.

Like Drudenfusz, I expect it to go in the bizarre near-alphabetical order that FFG did the promo poster in, so probably Crab next.

I'm kind of wondering if the Scorpion won't start some plot that plays into the Gencon tourney. Maybe not a coup, but something. In which case they could be last to set up the story tournament with their fiction.

Maybe in this Rokugan, they don't call the crustaceans "crabs" but "crubs", and the clan is named accordingly. So the poster is alphabetical!

I think the real issue here is how the unicorn samurai-ko is fleeing in terror of the "I heart broccoli" sign in the picture. Broccoli no Oni!

I just had a new idea how the picture and the clan reveals could be read! That it doesn't to along the lines, but up and down from left to right, so it started with the left hand, stays with the more defensive clans over the underhand (fitting in the middle and the below line) over to the more agressive clans to the end where the right hand sits... But I guess we will find out next week, if we see then Crab or Phoenix.

Well, they started at the beginning of the alphabet. Maybe they'll continue that way, with Crab next, followed by Dragon, Lion, Pheonix, Scorpion and Unicorn.

Crane: Honor.

Scorpion: Dishonor.

Lion: Military.

Crab: Holdings.

Dragon: Items.

Phoenix: Spells.

Unicorn: Er... movement tricks.

So, Unicorn being last seems the only reasonable part according to clans vs gameplay elements. The others? Not Unicorn so I do not care much.

My prediction is that the clan reveals will follow this as found on the main product page. I think the initial story will unfold with each reveal.

Crane, Scorpion, Lion, Unicorn, Phoenix, Dragon, & Crab.

Also of note, Kachiko was the only non-crane character in the fiction. The next installment may pick up right where it left off with her.

As for reveals: The order in that picture and the stories quoted earlier don't mesh up, assuming one is used at all!

I want my mon as my sleeve back FFG, make it happen.

It sounds as though the Scorpion Clan is more prominent in the opening of the story. I wonder if that means they will be showcased earlier, or reserved for later so that key story bits are spread out more in the weeks leading up to Gen Con.

Dragon and Crane are available. I don't know if they've put out any digital content with the other clan mon yet.
