Unless you've found a way to break the once-per-round rule on actions, I'm afraid not.

That's precisely why it works. Setup Phase is NOT in a round.

RRG - actions "A ship cannot perform the same action more than once during a single round, even if one or more of the actions are free actions. "

- rounds "A single game round consists of four phases resolved in the following order: Planning phase, Activation phase, Combat phase, End phase. The first round begins after setup is completed. "

I think i've missed something...the setup phase is simply the moment when you place your ships. Actions are performed during the activation phase (or combat phase if your name is Ahsoka). How are you doing 2 boosts?

If there were some way to give Jake a focus in the setup phase...

Hyperwave Comm Scanner...

Oh no, Snap Wexley is gunna be a bit good (reliably fun, and cant even combo with B1). Quick nerf it.

Come on... Jake Farrel + Intensity is going to be super fun to play!

Focus->(Trigger Jake)-> Free Boost -> (Trigger Intensity) -> Free focus+Turn Card -> (Trigger Jake AGAIN) -> Free Barrel Roll!!

I'm not saying it is good, just super funny.

Easy errata for intensity

"Imperial only"

Neither is it necessary nor is it intended. Intensity was clearly made with T70s in mind as far as I understand it

Mostly a joke. But i'd actuallly say it was made for Imperials mostly. Given the art work. If it was designed with T70s in mind mostly it would propbably show an xwing

Can you Push the Limit still in set up since it's not part of a "round" and if you can, then can you still PTL when the actual round starts?

I actually wouldn't be needing to PTL at all during set up cuz I keep getting the focus for Jake's ability. So real question is if I can Barrel Roll/Boost again. Well could push for a focus action I guess.

You wouldn't be able to use PTl then since PTL only works once per round, and no permission has been given to use PTL otherwise.

You can only flip card at the end of combat

Thats exactly what this is doing. The Turn Card is putting it face down after getting the free one. the first one is an actual Focus Action.

Sounded like you were trying to flip the card back over in after using it.

Sorry, I think I haven't explained well:

The order (again) is:

Focus->(Trigger Jake)-> Free Boost -> (Trigger Intensity) -> Free focus+ Flip Intensity Card to Intensity (exhausted) side -> (Trigger Jake AGAIN) -> Free Barrel Roll!! (And you stop there because Intensity is flipped to exhausted side).

With "Turn Card" I mean to Flip the card "Intensity" to the "Intensity (Exhausted) side".

That's why Jake Farrel seems to me one the most interesting option to put Intensity, because at the end of the Activation Phase you will be Barrel Roll-ed and Boost-ed and with two Focus Tokens, so you can spend one in your rolls and reserve the other one at the end of the combat phase (as being specificated in Intensity (exhausted) side).

Don't forget you can take a 5th action with PTL and that dial makes it so easy to do a green turn next.

The latest FAQ has put a stop to the Jake shenanigans before he even had a chance to try!

P.21
Q: Can a ship perform actions during Setup?
A: No, setup is not during a game round and ships can perform actions only
during game rounds.

I'm not necessarily calling straight for a nerf, just wondering if others agree that the combo seems quite powerful...basically PTL even when you have 2 stress tokens! Seems crazy good to me...

Tyco has been doing that for 5 years.

Primed thrusters caps out at 3 stress before it stops working. You assign one (of your choice) token and flip the card. So to get the benefit again you have to have a token left, to flip it and go again next round. I think it's an interesting and balanced card. Even if I want to put it on Jake Farrel, with Juke because why not.
