Some forum wisdom please

Ok - it's been a long while, but out of curiosity, I started looking at the forum again.

so maybe I,m hooked again

the last games I played was pre Liberty ...... I bought a liberty many months ago, and some flotillers (one of each side) - so since then a lot has changed? Or has it?

my last list was 2 MC30s and a bunch of TRC90s and minimal (I any squadrons)

The forum list of the day was the 'clonisher' I seem to remember.

mainly a rebel player - so what's happens in my absence ? Is the Pelter a any good? Ar people flying the Liberty? New stand out squadrons?

it seems like not much has changed? MSU still all the rage?

What should I buy? If anything!

Game is still in a good state of everything being usable.

Specific to the Lib- An upgunned Madine engine-tech Liberty with 4 gr75s for activations has shown to be a strong list. Add a trc corvette or 2 depending on how many flotillas you own.

The low squadron Cracken MC30/CR90 is still a thing.

Rieekan Aces with a Pelta (or Assault Frigate) and Yavaris is pretty good.

If you just want something to add variety, the Corellian Conflict squadrons and objectives are pretty good for that.

what you have will work fine.

You will need to find room for squadrons however, even if it is only minimal defence.

The CC pack added a lot of aces and new missions that are worth looking into.

Corellian Conflict for sure. Rebel fighters #2 for fun. New Hammerhead Corvettes incoming!

Stick a flotilla in that list with Tycho and a couple of A-Wings and you're good to go already! No need to purchase anything really. I'm a Rebel player but I don't have a Pelta yet and I'm flying a Liberty for the first time tomorrow night so I can't really comment from a 'are they any good?' point of view (I did play against a Liberty at a tournament at the weekend... That's what's 'piqued' my interest ). Relay will be new to you but I'll let you discover the delights of that little ability by yourself. Snipe also.

As for the meta? At the Q2 tournament I was at on Saturday everyone of my opponents out activated me... And I had five activation's myself! Lots of MSU type builds with flotilla's and small fighter screens. Meta mileage will still vary depending where you are though.

I like the pelta. It adds a unique upgrade slot that buffs fighter, shields or movement to you entire fleet. I like liberties (I don't play competitive though) but from what I read they are harder to do well with. I like a challenge so I'd do it.
