Just saw this, apparently Netflix is making a 10 episodes series prequel to The Dark Crystal. Not sure if it's necessary but it will be no doubt interesting.

I'm excited, but it could so easily be done badly.

Is that the article that states that Jim Henson's daughter (who runs the puppetry company now ) is ensuring that there's more puppetry than CGI. I'm excited for that. As a young fella, the Skekses (?) scared the woo hoo out of me.

In other slightly related news .. Labyrinth 2 is on the cards. Jennifer Connelly in that movie was my first crush.

One of my favorite movies as a kid. But trying to watch it now is like dragging my head on sandpaper.

That movie just does not stand the test of time.

I disagree. I just rewatched it this year (for the first time since the nineties) and I thought it was every bit as good as it was when it came out. Held up amazingly well.
