Stupid Tanky X wing's

Okay, here is a combo that has occurred to me recently.

Take a red squad vet, give her Comm Relay, and Cool hand with integrated mech. Get another X wing to bring Hyperwave Comm and give the Red pilot a perma evade token for a psuedo +1 health. Whenever you want, you can pop Cool hand for an evade that will do the same.

+ Integrated Astromech, we have a X wing that has Pseudo 9 ht points

But the madness does not end here, give them R3 Astromechs (which can generate evade tokens without actions) and you have something on par with a Falcon or even a Defender!

Then put juke in the elite slot. Maybe then you'll be able to give out some damage, the problem with R3 is that you sacrifice attack power. I really like this on paper, I'm just worried it won't work when gets to the table. If you try it, tell us how it went. :)

Red Ace + R2D2 + Comms Relay; Hyperwave on a wingman. Red Ace starts with the evade, regens it every time she loses a shield, and then regens the shield.

Not yet, I have a game Tomorrow where I hope to give it a go.

Then for you're third ship throw in ezra with elusiveness, kanan and turret of your choice.

evade every turn, use a tlt or autoblaster to push through damage and he's self sufficient on d forcing an attacker reroll (unless he was double stressed or pulled a red this round)+ auto defensive focus

They may really struggle to punch through big health wall lists but opponents will go bonkers trying to land damage on these guys.

I would like this better if rebels had a cheap tech slot. As it stands you need another T-70 to carry the hyperwave, and that one gets no benefit while giving up the opportunity to carry a pattern analyzer that it definitely could use.

Intensity kind of solves the problem since you can use it turn one without a Hyperwave carrier

I literally CANNOT WAIT for Intensity!!!

Came in here to say this... Red Ace with Intesity, R2-D2, and Comm Relay.

Hell, if you want to make a psuedo Concord Dawn Protectorate, give Red Ace Intesity, Comm Relay, (Shield Upgrade or Autothrusters), and R7-T1 instead. Get in their face with TL+Focus, take some shots, get an evade. Keep it.
We'll call it something catchy, like 'PS-5-Fenn'

Red Ace doesnt have an Elite Skill slot.

so add one with r2d6, sure you lose some of the regen but the rest of the list works......

Which would make it impossible to use R2D2 to recharge the shield & multiply the special power of Red Ace, which is getting a free evade as soon as he loses a shield token.
