Flew this yesterday to a 2-2 record (I didn't have any practice with it, but tons of practice with the ships in other lists):
Duchess, AA, VI, LWF
Carnor, AT, VI
Major Stridan, General Hux, Systems Officer, Advanced Sensors, Kylo's shuttle, Hyperwave Comm
The hypothesis was to deploy at PS10+ so I could get the optimal engagement I wanted. Then I could do 6 actions with 0 stress by using advanced sensors to General Hux all three ships, get stress, reveal a green, hand off a target lock to one of the other two, and they each get their own action. TL+F would be for whomever would be range 1 (usually Carnor) and the shuttle would simply use the fanatical devotion hux part because it wasn't going to be dodging anything anyway. With strategic bumping I figure I could do this two turns in a row.
Game 1: Against a rebel list with a U Wing and two arcs, one Braylen stressbot gunner. First game, still trying to nail down ranges. This fella made it to the top table of the tournament after the cut to top 4. He got 2nd place, only losing to atanni builds. I was able to arcdodge with Carnor and come up from behind, and managed to get 1/2 points on the U-Wing before losing all of mine. The stressbot shut down the Hux stuff and I could only do that every other turn as he was splitting fire to Carnor. Shuttle bumped the U Wing for 3 turns in a row and the aces couldn't keep from being to close and had to overshoot the U wing periodically. I should have focused fired until something died. L100-18
Game 2: Went up against some other rebels, this time using my arcdodgers and focusing down his ships pretty handedly. His dice said they quit, and they did. He had Miranda and Leebo, and killed Duchess 2nd round of combat with a well placed Sabine direct hit proton bomb. Hux worked like a charm, he landed Miranda on a rock and went through it again the turn after. W100-something
Game 3: Guy had the Jan Ors powered Rey Falcon for massive dice out the front. Shot through the asteroid field with all 3 ships and Rey never had arc on me until the last shot which got my last ship. Made the mistake of running Carnor wide and could never catch Jan to stop focusing TLTs before it chewed up Duchess and the Shuttle. Did the Hux trick once. L100-Jan
Game 4: Fella that hadn't played in a while, had a psycho tycho and Nera build with a basic red squadron T65. Tycho didn't have AT, he had an extra shield. And died turn 3 of combat. Shuttle blew up to Nera, aces finished off everything else without a TL. W100-45
All in all I think I could have flown a LOT better. The games I lost I didn't focus fire the target I had, I went for the harder one trying for random crits. Anytime that's what you're hoping for its not gonna go your way. Didn't go up against any of the Fenn Rau I thought I might see but there were a few at this tournament. 17 people total, I think I ended up 10th overall. I think the reasoning was sound on the Hux part. Things I would have changed: finding a way to remember Kylo's shuttle. I did this once the whole day and honestly it could have swung my losing games. There was always a big cluster around the shuttle and I should have done it more than once in one game, all day. Kicking myself for forgetting that. Also, LWF on Duchess didn't seem to do anything. It never helped. Anytime I thought Duchess would take a shot or two I'd turtle her up at range 3 with Coordinate and her normal action. Or just sloop her way out of arcs. So with an extra 4 points I could have done more to help Carnor, like Targeting Computer. And the Shuttle, like Anti-Persuit Lasers. It would have made the list far more effective. I still like two aces that don't stress at PS10. So I may have to figure out how to get Vader in instead of one of the other two. All in all, a great day! Top 16 got that nifty Paul La Rue Asajj card, so I achieved my goal!
