We finished our game week and found out we're over the 600point mark and the final battle is going to start when we get together again. After reading the rules it looks like the players get 1 training action be for the 5 level dungon starts. My friends also noted that I get to buy one more upgrade (I'm the Overlord). But when I look at the rule book, I don't see where it says the Overlord gets a chance to buy anything, nor do I see it in the FAQ.

Our Sea's of Blood campaign is next, and in that book it does show that the Overlord gets a buy action at the end, just not for RTL.

Am I missing where this is (not on page 10 or 20)?

I don't have the rulebooks with me at the moment, but AFAIK you (and OL) get the free training before you enter the first level of OL's keep.

The OL gets the chance to buy one upgrade in RtL as well. Clarified by KW, but it never made it into the FAQ so far.

I'd like to see where it was clariifed, as this was an annoying thing for me when I was overlord in Road to Legend. Granted, the spider queen would still have gone down hard, but I wouldn't have felt robbed of the chance to spend the XP I'd just earned.

It was a KW statement in one of the earlier forum versions, so I cannot point you towards an exact quote.

However, at least a few other forum members here remember the clarification as well.

I agree that the OL gets one upgrade before starting the Overlord's Keep.

I too looked for the forum post by KW but could not find it. We are sitting at 550 CP in our RtL campaign and I wanted the reference just in case. I also think it was in the old forum and the post is long gone.

I can also confirm that this statement was made, but sadly has not made it into the FAQ as of yet.

I also can confirm that Kevin Wilson ruled that the Overlord may make one upgrade purchase.

+1. I also recall this being clarified on an occasion when KW manifested briefly in the forum.
