Boarding Troopers AND RLBs?

By Card Knight, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

So thought this up, trying to see if I overlooked anything.

Quasar 1 comes rolling in with Boarding Troopers, and RLBs loaded with Bombers and a squad token. Can I:
1. Flip a Squadron dial
2. Use the token to trigger Boarding Troopers (assuming I'm at close range) and discard the card to spend whatever tokens they have
3. Use the dial to trigger RLBs, dropping 4 bombers before I attack and shoot with them as per the new RLBs ruling (I should be in range since I have to be in close for Boarding Troopers).
4. Then attack with the Quasar.

Alternatively throw Flight Commander on there to drop the bombers after you move, but that's another story.

Anything I'm missing that makes this not work?

No. You havn't missed anything.

Boarding Troopers require you to discard a token or dial. You can freely discard the token and keep the dial for dial purposes.

Just be careful on the exact order.

Since the Boarding Troopers are when you reveal a squadron command, and the resolution of the squadron command is also at the same time, I believe (it might be after, I'll be honest, I havn't double-checked command in the rulebook yet) - then it should work.

Hmm. Could I resolve them in either order? Based on the wording of Troopers I would think not, since that timing will be when I reveal a dial, but you're right, I'd have to double check the wording of resolving a squadron command/any command in the book

Checked. Has to be that specific order.

Boarding Troopers is when you reveal the dial.

Squadron command is after you reveal the dial.
