Yes it does, you acquire a TL with K4, you do not do a free TL Action.

Which is something FFG needs to address, making so many upgrades require 0 skill, one change with x7 was good, they need to do more changes like that.

Right on...I guess more specifically...does bumping still count as EXECUTING a green maneuver...which triggers k4.

We weren't sure if failing to finish the move counts as EXECUTING it.

You always count as executing the maneuver. So you'll still clear stress even if you bump.

You'd get it even if it said perform a free TL action. Bumping takes away your Perform Action step, it doesn't stop you from performing actions from other sources.

Resolving the consequences of an overlap is part of executing a maneuver, so yeah, you still count as executing the maneuver.

If they decide to add a "successfully" keyword at some point that rules out overlaps it'll save some verbage on cards like Advanced SLAM, but in this moment there's only one kind of execute.

While there are some similarities, x7 is a title which only competes with one other option whereas K4 is a crew and competes with many other options. Additionally, there is a big cost difference with x7 reducing the cost by 2 points (yes, Defenders needed help, but a 2 point reduction with free evade with no limits was probably too much) and K4 costing 3 points. If you were to add a similar restriction to K4, it would cost way too much.

This came up in conversation Thursday, whether K4 would give you a TL even if you are stressed. The consensus was it would for two reasons.

1) It's not an action as mentioned above.

2) The prerequisite is only a green maneuver.

And before someone mentions that doing a green maneuver will remove the stress before K4 triggers, we were talking about starting the turn with two or more stress tokens.
