Best Quasar build

Hi

Just toing with quasar. For me best build is

Quasar 1 54p

Expanded Hangar Bay 5p

Boosted Comms 4p

Wulf Yularen 7p

Flight Controlers 6p

For 76p we have best alpha strike in the game that give us good amount of punch in one go. With Wulf token we have 6 activation that together with Flight Controlers decimate opponent squadrons (2 aces for sure out or 3-4 generic sended of the board 5 - 6 in case of Tie or hedhunters)

Optionalywe may swap Wulf for Chrrenau to make rhymmerball working. Still for me this is the best squadron platform ever. To this day Imperials have this option only on ISD I but now. Feear Us rebel scums

This is approximately what I came up with, but I may ditch Wulf to save points. The 6-squad alpha with FCs should be plenty.

The Wulf token will be handy to have for Boarding Troopers though.

Except the build in question does not utilize Boarding Troopers, otherwise you would be right.

I would add one of the two good Titels (Squall or Stronghold). They are a great boost for squadrons, and you are going full on squadrons when you use a Quasar.

Now the downside :P: Combined: 76 Points. For 81 you can get 3 gozanti with boosted comms on each ;).
Sure, you have the Flight Controlers, and you have a great Alpha Strike of 6 squadrons. Combined with Sloane this might be really good. And i guess this is the only way to play it at all. Unless you want to use it as anti squadron with the red dice, Kallus and Ruthless.

But this "one ship" might be the weakness i could see with the Quasar. The average activation is going up to 5. What is the Quasar helping you, when the opponent is going in with a MC30 or Demolisher, just double activating, killing your Quasar, and you had not even the chance to use it?
