star wars armada wave 7 with a lot of big ships

So I take it that the dual Ion cannon thing I speculated about, is something you all would like to see in a future Armada ship ;)

Not to mention that we're running out of unseen dual slots :)

That might be OP. . . Fire Control Team and APT ACM? Or APT External Racks? Or external racks and Flechette? Or Flechette and APT? In comparison 2 Ion upgrades are trifling. . .

Yeah, but it's not really any different to having things like EA. Granted, there are no upgrades that depend on red crits, but adding a dice and only using long range attacks once a game isn't OP. . . scary, but not broken. . . also, you seem to really be against dual ion slots. I've changed the ship design a bit to avoid it, what do you think?

I am not against 2 ion slots but to have offensive retrofits

Ah, so dual slots without the OR is ok? I see. Well what about the 1 OR/Ion? I really think the rebels should have a ship that wants to take DC.

Thanks! Don't worry I wasn't thinking you were. I am curious why you are so against the rebels having a ship that uses DC though. What ship would be acceptable to you?

2 ion with d.cs means you can pick your crits and dadonna is a thing. Sorry for the miss spell

Right, so what about 1 Ion and D.C.? It makes it the same as a Vic 2.

Well, my latest version was:

Both versions: Medium base, Hull 7, command 2, squadron 1, engineering 2, speed 2, Brace/redirect/contain, AA 1 black die

Version 1:

Shields: front 4 sides 3 rear 2
Dice in Arcs: front 4 sides 2 rear 1
Upgrades: Title, Officer, Weapons Team, Ion
Cost: 80

Version 2:

Shields: front 3 sides 3 rear 3
Dice in Arcs: front 2 sides 4 rear 2
Upgrades: Title, Ion, Offensive
Cost: 85

So if we double arc, 6 blues. 7 with concentrate fire, and 8 with High Capacity Ion Turbines - but that means we have no blue crit upgrades, so I think it's fair.

OK. That was really a minor point, as I felt that the Rebs deserved a medium based ship with lower command. It doesn't affect the ship too much. . . anything else?

Also remember that both versions of the ship are more towards the cost of the Vic-II, so I think balance should be thought of accordingly.
