I'd like the MC75 to be a rebel medium blue-dice ship that comes in assault and command versions. The assault version should be a blue dice brawler with 2 ion cannon slots, the command version should have a reduced damage output but both a fleet command and a fleet support upgrade, and come with an additional card for each in the pack.
star wars armada wave 7 with a lot of big ships

And an Offensive Retrofit slot. That way we have a ship that wants DC (again, DC, SW-7, & NK-7/HCIT/Another Ion Upgrade - so cool) as well as boarding troopers/engineers.

I think that's to much

Yeah, I'd be willing to drop the Weapons Team slot, but an offensive retrofit, and at least one ion slot on a predominantly if not solely blue-die ship is what I want. I'd prefer, as I said above, 2 ion slots and an offensive retrofit slot. Blue dice, low squad, speed 3.

Speed 2 and no offensive retrofit

I'll give you speed 2, but I think it would need the OR. It would be the 2nd rebel ship that has any reason to take it, and with blue dice only it would make sense to have it. I'd even go so far as to drop 1 of the 2 ion slots for it, but that's a bit much in my opinion. What about:
Hull 7, command 2, squadron 1, engineering 2, speed 2
Version 1:
Shields: front 4 sides 3 rear 2
Dice in Arcs: front 4 sides 2 rear 1
Upgrades: Title, Officer, Weapons Team, Ion
Cost: 80
Version 2:
Shields: front 3 sides 3 rear 3
Dice in Arcs: front 2 sides 4 rear 2
Upgrades: Title, Ion, Ion, Offensive
Cost: 85
I think the combo of 2 Ion & Offensive is really good and with blue dice only it would be needed. As a sort of compromise, I've removed the officer slot (a first in the ships I believe).
It may cost too much, especially the first version, but what are your thoughts?

I forgot defense tokens! What do you think? I'm thinking Brace/redirect/contain for the second version, and brace/brace for the first.

Not 2 braces

I felt it should resemble the other forward-facing rebel ships, the Neb and the Liberty. Mind you, it only has two braces, nothing else. . . what about Brace/redirect/contain for both?

No offensive retrofit because of the new upgrades
Edited by starbat8612 minutes ago, starbat861 said:No offensive retrofit because of the new upgrades
Well, it was because of the new upgrades that I wanted it. It can't take the Boarding cards, since neither version has both slots, but I did so want a ship with OR/Ion.
Again, it'd be only the second ship variant (not even ship type) of the rebels that can both take and want DC. Perhaps 2 Ion slots with it is OP. . . what about just one of each?
Both versions: Medium base, Hull 7, command 2, squadron 1, engineering 2, speed 2, Brace/redirect/contain, AA 1 black die
Version 1:
Shields: front 4 sides 3 rear 2
Dice in Arcs: front 4 sides 2 rear 1
Upgrades: Title, Officer, Weapons Team, Ion
Cost: 80
Version 2:
Shields: front 3 sides 3 rear 3

Cost: 85
It lessens the epicness of the ship a little bit, but also compensates a bit for the long-range blue die attack. Also remember that the 2nd version, which formerly had 2 ion slots and OR, doesn't have an officer slot, which I understand to be very important to most people (though actually I personally seldom fill it).

Remember Disposable Capacitors are a one use upgrade.

D.C. Are still broken
A one shot upgrade that makes VSD2s actually WORTH taking for once is a broken upgrade? Same thing with the Raider 2. You don't see them too often because the raider 1 is alot more useful and same price with ordnance experts. And the VSD 1 is 12 points cheaper. 12 points.

Go Big Or Go Home ![]()
Even if not, it lets you mix up, say Ion Cannon batteries *and* leading shots, to Proc for Crits.

Yep. We don't need to consign ourselves to just Crit effect Generating combinations...
... But to be said, ICB + NK7 is stupid amounts of Punishing.
