star wars armada wave 7 with a lot of big ships

By starbat861, in Star Wars: Armada

the idea behind this is that we need big ships and the allegiance class star destroyer for the empire and the mc75 for the rebels

by Undeadguy

150 points
3 Command, 0/4 Squad, 5 Eng
Shields: 5 front, 6 sides, 3 rear
13 Hull
2 blue, 1 black Anti-Squad
4 Red, 2 Blue front
5 Red 2 Blue side
3 Red rear

Officer, Weapons Team, Offensive Retrofit, Defensive Retrofit, Ion Cannon, 2 Turbolaser

Title: While attacking, you may change 1 die to any other die face. 12 points
Title: While defending, before damage is dealt, you may discard a Eng token to immediately regain 2 shields on any hull zone. 8 points

Slap this on an MC80 arc template. Have an insert that says if a squad value is 0, a squad token does not provide any squadron points.

anyother ideas for the alligance and for the mc75

3 antisquad eh? I think we'll need to dream before we ever see that.

Also, I think FFG should apply a new size for a ship like that, as the ISD is already considerably bigger that the large base, so I don't think it possible for them to put a bigger than ISD ship on that base

Can we see all the wave 6 ships and what they do before we get started on wave 7?

it always happens

any ideas for the mc75. i think large

MC-75 might be able to deploy a small ship. If it does, dropping an MC-30 in your opponent's face is going to be nasty.

thats awesome i first thought you meant it would be a small ship itself

That would be a interesting mechanic for the game. :) Thematically, we know that the MC75 and the ISD can both fit a vessel as large as a CR90 Corvette inside their main hanger. The Raider is the same size as the CR90, and the Gozanti's and the GR75's are smaller so they would work also. Granted, they wouldn't elicit the same terror as dropping an MC30, but they would still be a blast to use in this way.

dropping demos

stats for the mc75 though. maybe 5 dice in the front and sides

I want a wingless Liberty MC80 ;)

why you have home one

MC75 vs Venator....both are around the same size and are basically command/control carriers.

but allegiance is large and the empire already has 3 medium ships and need more large

I think the allegiance is a poor choice. It looks too similar to the ISD (and I would prefer to avoid non-canon ships as much as possible though that's the canon pope/theme guy inside of me screeching, you can ignore that). The profile for the Venator is very different. Venator can be a large.

the allegiance is 2,200m, isd is 1,600m, interdictor and victory are under 1,600m and are medium but the venator is under 1,200. also the allegiance is more fun because its size and fire power, we have a thread about this check it out if you want.

I was hoping for that the wingless Liberty MC80 type could be a less expensive version of the Home one type.

With one attack die less on each side.

One attack die extra in front.

7 Hull.

A: version has 2 sqds,

B: version has 3 sqds.

No more than 6 upgrade slots in total.

All other stats the same as the H1 version.

In short; a pocket MC80 H1 version, that bridges the gab between the AF2 and H1, as a broadsider.

why is there a ship like this in legends

No it is canon, see ROTJ movie

Battle of Endor had atleast 3x types of MC80's participating.

MC80 H1

MC80 Liberty

MC80 Wingless Liberty

So why not have the last poor MC80 sibling in the game.

So. . . the AF Mark-III? The MC80 Mini? How much less expensive would it be to be, if it had the same stats as the MC80H1, to warrant taking it over the AF or MC80H1?

I mean, I'm all for new ships, and why not finish the trio of MC80s, but it seems to be bridging a gap between two well-established ships who themselves can blend roles. It seems to resemble a bridge over a Savanna, ya know? I'd prefer different stats if we were to get it, like perhaps different upgrade slots, a title that allows multiple modifications, or perhaps more hull (than 8, not the AF 6). Something that makes it stand out and noticeably different to the aforementioned ships, such that it belongs to a different style of fleet construction. Maybe the stats you suggested but Command 2?

I was actually thinking that I.e. it had two Ion cannon upgrade slots, but no Turbolaser slot.

And besides the obligatory Titel and Officer slot, the two remaining slots is a different combo than that of the H1.

That sounds interesting. . . what about a ship that is predominately blue diced (as I assume it will be, what with 2 Ion slots and no Turbolaser slot) and an offensive retrofit slot? That way it could have NK-7, SW-7, and DC! That would be fantastic! It would certainly play to different fleet types than AFs and MC80s (either one), and feel like a new ship.
