My experience with Devastator indicates that withholding this ability from large ships is entirely appropriate.

Curse your inevitable betrayal you Wave 0 card!
so, what happens if by using Squall your squadrons become engaged, you move the back to their original positions?

Yeah when I've been able to make it work its vicious. I just cant make it happen consistently.

That is what it looks like

I was curious how Squall would interact with new tournament rule on squadron movement + old rule about no more than 1 measuring device. Figured people just wouldn't be dicks and make it work.

/sigh... A dream... Shattered... By good balance...
Edited by Lyraeus3 minutes ago, Coldhands said:I guess you missed the Word cheap. Okay, ill define cheap in this game in my perspective: Under 50 Points. Medium is 50-90, and expensive is 90+ for Me.
And an example for Good ship: Cr90A with trc for 51 Point.
So in the entire game there is only a single cheap ship and when you make it good with an upgrade it doesn't fall under cheap as you defined it.
There was no way a Squadron 4 ship was going to be less than 50 points.

does it not contradict the tourney rule where you can't touch a squadron after you dropped it?

The same thing that happens if you try to move speed 3 squadron all the way to range 5. Its an invalid move, you undo it and execute a valid one.
And, btw, Instigator interaction with the enemy Squall is... interesting.

More then likely the rules won't even let you place

Omg lets get 400938318393939 pages on the rules forum going, stat

Given that Capacitors don't seem to add any dice. How are they getting five?
Double arcing
They are not for 1 attack. They works until the end of the round

Its almost speed 7. And its more than a straight up speed 6, too.
Because Distance 1 is different to the other distance bands.

VSD2 becomes a solid ship, flotillas are now much less invincible (especially if a Relay is fixed)
I have to wonder if a several 66 points NK7-VG-DC Raider2 would be worth the investment.
I was going to ask what DC was... Doh.
What about the same with OP and Avenger?
Do you know what I like?
Hyperspace retreat with Pursuant.
More CC love!!

One tool rule as well.
Maybe this will lead to a more spiritually satisfying rule regarding the squadron shuffle.
Edited by svelokVSD 2 with H9s, Gunnery Team and Dispoable Cs is going to eat some Flotillas....and some points too.
Also...I am crazy excited to throw that upgrade on my Interdictor for the rest of time.
The quasar itself I feel will fit into a lot of lists, very capable squadron pusher, and after EHBs, Flight Controllers, and Boosted Comms, costs about as much as a Vicii. also throwing 6 squads in one activation will make the anti-squad game very potent for the list in question. Just add Demo.
Did I say 61 for the red-die AS version?
Yes I did.
(AFAIK)
Disposable Capacitors. A thing for Dictors?

Every goddamn wave there's some wonky interaction with Instigator that crops up. It's basically tradition now.
Only unspoiled card is Quad Battery Turrets?

Yes, very much so.

VSD-2 and Dictor with these can provide serious firepower on turn 2...
