Lol I remember Y-wings being in a shortage ever since Wave 3 even though they were not that big. It was just that FFG was still smaller compared to Warhammer 40,000 and they didn't make as many ships as they used to. When Wave 6 came around Y-wings were popular again and thus another Y-wign shortage. There was also the Wave 7 TLTs and yup Y-wing shortage.

I wonder if those will end up in shortage like the K-wing? Maybe but not likely K-wing at first was the only ship you could get TLTs. TIE Agressor is a nice alternative.

Despite only being able to roll one green die, the bulky and slow Y-Wing continues to evade me... I joined X-Wing really late, so it has been disappointing that I've only been able to acquire 1 Y-Wing. The few I have seen circulating, are way overpriced.

Call me crazy, but I have a hunch Runewars is to blame. Seems like they have all machines pumping out this new game so all 4 factions can be ready in time for November worlds. They're starting to hit shelves, so hopefully they can get to some of these backlogged X-wing ships.

I'm totally enjoying Runewars, though so it's all good to me.

Yeah I'm not going to pay above retail for one. I hope the put more out soon, they should put more out when the aggressors hit the shelves.

I had the same problem a few months ago when I started the game. Ended up grabbing the Most Wanted set for my second Y-Wing (and 3rd and 4th Z-95). Even if you're not interested in the Z-95s, it's still worth it for a different looking Y-Wing and a bunch of cards specifically for the Y-Wing to give it more utility (bomb loadout is awesome and BTL-A4 title for some extra forward firing hurt).

Are you guys trying Barnes & Nobles? Almost every time I see someone complaining they can't find something the B&N's in town have them. Might just be the area too because we have a decent game store as well that still has multiples of pretty much everything. I believe they still had dials even last time I looked. Haven't seen those online in awhile.

Phantoms are a bit hard to find at the moment too. I was surprised when I saw some talk recently about how rare Y-Wings were, and even more surprised when I went looking around for a Phantom that I owed someone for some work they did and couldn't find one anywhere at a reasonable price. I didn't know that anything other than K-Wings were OOS everywhere.

Lukcily on Thursday night I found a local game store with Phantoms (they have plenty of Y-Wings and even two MSRP K-Wings! They have every ship in stock but the original Falcon) and got the one I owe to this guy.

Going off of how long it is taking K-Wings to appear in stores again, Y-Wings will be gone for a while.

I think I just picked up the last Y-Wing in my city.
Time to work on my All-Ion list (and not use it much, due to the potential of creating lots of NPE for the other person).

I have 2 Reb and 2 Scum Ys and it seems the two LGS's always seemed to have Y's....then: poof! They went the way of the K-Wing and Phantom.

...they now have tons of Upsilons....tons!

I have been noticing this shortage here as well. Need to dedicate a day to go to the rest of the local shops. I do have a sneaking suspicion, however, that HotAC may have a small part in the shortage as well, given that the Y-wing is one of the starting ships.

As for the Phantoms, I got one a long while ago when I first started getting interested. Now that I'm actually playing the game, I can't find another. Or two. Because just once I'd like to run three, hahaha.
