Tokens in Expansions

By TallGiraffe, in Runewars Miniatures Game

So I think someone was asking if there were tokens in expansions. Opening my Oathsworn now and there are some Inspirations, a Stun, and a Panic token in here. Not sure about the others. (Command upgrades have none Daqan Side.)

Archers have 1 panic, 2 blights, and 1 immobilize

Do the archers come with any upgrades that cause immobilize?

Yeah, immobilize seems weird for archers.

Though seriously, archers should have just been 4 blight and 4 panic tokens. They have a habit of dropping a lot of both in my games

Nope. I mean, there's the morale deck if you happen to cause a certain morale card to go off with the archers, but that's the only way I can think of to do it.

There's 4 immobilize cards in the morale deck and the archers come with a copy of "Terrifying Heraldry" so there's some possibility of using it.

But it's still hard to imagine needing more than the 5 immobilize tokens that come in the core box.

I'm guessing the tokens are there because there is extra room on the punch board sheets and they want to use it for something. Also maybe they were setting up the cutting die and they wanted tokens on there so down the road they could have units introduce new tokens but not have to make new dies.

I'm glad to get them. The base set quantity wasn't enough for most games.

I like this but I'm gonna say what we were all thinking yesterday... Whats with the box size? :)

I know I know, it's probably just a standard box size they will use for expansions, and bigger models like golems and worms may need it, but the command pack was 3 thin bags and 80 percent air hehe.

Bigger boxes more likely to be noticed, and the plastic blisters such as the IA variants may cost more to make.

Hehe yea I know there are multiple reasons it's a good idea, just was kind of funny to open the box and see 3 tiny bags on the right side of the box then a big cardboard accordion giving it all structure. It's not a complaint at all, just kinda silly for specific expansions.

Oh great! More tokens!

(said no X-wing/armada player...ever)

Kidding!

How will I feel about Runewars?
