Clarifications ??

OK, We have several games under our belt now. Time to make sure we are doing a few things correctly. gui%C3%B1o.gif

1. Spending command for initiative. Do you discard the command tokens each turn after initiative is determined or do they remain there as a cummulative total? (we have been removing them, but came across a strategy card today that would seem to indicate otherwise)

2. If the command tokens remain on the initiative card, can you later take tokens off the initiative card to use elsewhere the next turn?

3. Can multiple units make seperate attacks against a single unit or do you have to use combined fire? I understand the advantage that combined fire only uses one action, but in many cases it seems to make more sense to seperate attacks (more dice) especially when making normal attacks aganst troops in the open.

4. In normal attacks does the attacker or the defender choose what figure is removed as the result of a normal attack?

That should do for now. gui%C3%B1o.gif

TIA,

1. They remain on the card.

2. They can not be used for anything else.

3. Multiple units can indeed make an attack each against a single unit.

4. Defender removes casualties.

Wow...Thatnks for the quick reply.........

The only thing we were doing wrond so far is initiative.

One last question I forgot in the first post:

Heavy weapons units only count as one casualty correct. In other words if a Machine gun squad is attacked it is eliminated with 3 hits?

That is correct (assuming you have 2 infantry and 1 machine-gun team on a base).

If you have 2 machine-guns (or mortars) on the same base, then it is eliminated with 2 hits.

OOPS..I've been doing that one wrong. sonrojado.gif Glad i read this, thanks to Afilter for asking and Yipe and Hefsgaard for answering.

I have a feeling theese and many other things we are or are not doing right are pretty common issues. Either way the game plays well. Hopefully will find some other local players to compare notes with at some point.

Thanks again for the confirming what I thought.
