According to the Lore Guide, the Waiqar skeletons were created by soaking a few chumps with acidish rain and summoning the bones from the mess.
The theme I'm trying to go for with my Waiqar folks is to make them look like they are super fresh, having just climbed out of their bodies maybe minutes before the battle. I want their bases to be mud (since the rain likely didn't just hit meat), and on top of that I'd like the remains of the folks they stepped out of. The mud I can handle with some flavor of Vallejo basing paste and I have some little bones I can throw down too, but I'm really racking my brain on how to go about making the remains. I was thinking about using green stuff to make skin sheets where applicable, but I'm unsure how to make the 'meat'. In case it's tough to visualize because I'm bad at explaining things, remember those scenery pieces in the original doom that were more or less carcass piles? Those red piles on the right here:
I'd like to make those on the bases, but occasionally without bones. Oh and of course, gratuitous GW Blood for the Blood God will be slapped on top just to make sure things still look fresh.
Anyone done anything similar or have any tips on making a smooth-ish and thick paste on the cheap? Thanks in advance
