You mean a classic image of an imperial?

Really? It's narrower ? Changing the proportions creates an entirely new ship class? That's one step beneath copy-pasting your way into a new design. Change the turrets, the bridge, something to make it stand apart from the imperial!

All I'm saying is that the Tector is a bad choice because it's identical to the ISD in all the visible ways that matter. If we're going to get another big ship, it should be different in some significant way to make it worth our time.

Even the rebels permutation would be welcome.

Now if you want another large imperial ship, the Venator and (my choice) the Resurgent are more worthy of your hopes and desires than the production-team error anomaly to come out of rotj.

I think he's got a point that a $50 expansion with a model that is practically indistinguishable from the current ISD is a bad idea. If a new model is desired, a Venator or a Resurgent is much more distinctive. If, however, people merely desire the ship stats, then releasing ship cards to be used in conjunction with the already-released ISD Model would be a simple solution, similar to what they did for CC squadrons.

I don't know. I would buy two for sure, besides, I already own 5 ISDs.

And no it isn't too many until I have more than I need to reenact the battle of Endor!

That's 32 ISDs. . . or $160. Plus the thousands of fighter packs you'd need. . . I wish I could join you in the Quest. . .

Basically, I too would buy a new model. But preferably one that didn't look exactly like one I already had. Which is why I think they can release new ships, and then just release new cards for the ISD model.

Well that's not out yet. . . are you talking about the Quest, or models I'd like? If the former, then yeah I'd want it, but without it we could improvise. . .

If the latter, it doesn't look like an ISD, so I'd be fine with it. Basically the issue with the Tector and the Allegiance isn't so much their stats, which can be decided upon, but the fact that they look EXACTLY like the ISD from all but 1, seldom seen in game angle if I understand correctly, especially the Tector. This means that most people won't want to buy a new $50 model that they can't differentiate from their current model unless they pick it up and turn it upside down. Think of the potential in-game confusion that would cause.

So again, new ship cards, usable with the existing model? All for it! New model with new cards? No, too expensive for what it gives me. I'd prefer a different shape, something obvious to a casual glance.

Well to be fair, the allegiance is distinct at least for being quite a bit larger and wider. I think FFG will be hesitant to make a ship larger than the ISD (let alone something fairly obscure like the allegiance) unless they go for the Executor.

No big loss in my opinion, the Allegiance looks like an ISD that's been married to a good cook for 10 years and stopped hitting the gym at the beginning of year 2. Gimme the Venator.
