Since it is now convenient, I will point out we don't know Mad's trooper number, so this could have been an effort by the Rebels to cover up someone they thought we might identify next and remove them from play. Obviously in the short term that's a boon to us loyal Imperials, since that's one less Rebel terrorist to worry about, but it's not implausible it wasn't just the random violence these scum are prone to.

He claimed BG-1402.

And... I mean, I don't know all the roles, but I have a hard time imagining a rebel one that would intentionally blow up himself and just himself.

Alright, the 140X convention had me confused, which Bigg's death post did not help. And I meant to imply that he faked his death, removing himself from suspicion/danger, not that he was actually dead.

So, I'm trying to figure out how this could happen, but I didn't see anything last night, I think.

Give me a minute...

Trying to come up with a good story?

If he were a Rebel, he'd have had 24 hours (or the better part thereof) to know this was coming, and would just have something prepared to post now as if it's what his supposed role would have told him. Obviously this could be a double bluff, but it's a lot riskier.

Ok, yeah, I have no new information ofter last night.

Wishing I had a clue how this could have happened. Maybe knocked out by the blast? Truly don't know.

Let me through what happened last night:

The Rebels killed Mad. Mad could have cleared me, had he investigated me. The massive explosion seems out of place for the a normal kill, so could it have been a special ability? We didn't get any details on Mads corpse the way we did with the others, so no way to confirm his role. I watched Mad, but didn't learn anything, suggesting that I was blocked by something, maybe the blast, maybe a role. I don't think it would be a role though, as has been stated before, there are a lot of them already.

Hey, what two consenting people want to do together at 3 in the morning is none of my business.

@DabDarklighter 's story definitely is bad. Maybe so bad that I might believe him.

Are there roles that will just pop someone and destroy the evidence?

I could get on board with Mad's proposition to test Dab because he is either lying through his teeth or will give us the name of a rebel, and Mad because of the forced full claim will probably end up the nightkill.

Bro was very quick to jump on this plan (in fairness, it was Mad's plan, and Tirion was actually quicker, but with a much shorter post, indicating Bro spent some time on this).

If we assume that Bro and Dab are the Rebels, and we know that NIP was, you have:

Mad's plan, which provided an out for Dab, but the group was dubious. Dab of course would obviously be on board with that plan, so they needed someone else to second it if it was going to get traction: Broba with a 3-paragraph post 6 minutes later. A 3-paragraph post that, by the way, pointed fingers at CNinja and Pellaeon both. Note that this doesn't particularly incriminate Brob, but it doesn't help him either.

Then, when Ninja accused NIP, his reply upon returning was not to defend himself, but:

As such I suggest following Mad's plan. . . we might not necessarily get useful info out of it, but then if we don't follow his plan we definitely won't.

NIP-- a known Rebel , remember-- wanted this plan to go through. If he'd known Dab was an Imperial, he'd have advocated for us to lynch him.

Further incriminating: Dab bandwaggoned after we'd cleared CNinja on the basis of his name without, as far as I can tell, any real reason, going to so far as to agree with me when I said it'd have been easier to decrypt Ninja's code if he hadn't capitalized the I (which wasn't that big a deal).

Finally , though, we have last night, when Dab failed to identify not one, but two visitors to Madaghmire's quarters!

I don't know who either was, but I do know that a second person was at Madaghmire's quarters last night.

Thank you.

And I did expect to see two visitors (not that it will convince you now) - we had Mad so set up to be killed someone was going to try to protect him.

Am... am I the only one who was completely oblivious to this?

Nonetheless, it doesn't exactly clear you--just shows you had a cover story in place by that time. Hmmm... I'll consider, but I do not expect to be changing my vote.

Oblivious to the embedded initialisms, that is.

Ard's logic is sound. However, before we do anything quickly, we should consider that the Rebel we have already apprehended is a Force user, and that there are reports of multiple Force users here on Lothal. We don't know if this "Ezra" has his master here as well, Jedi always travel in pairs you know. It is not implausible that Dab was duped in this way. Given all the previous events though, I'm still skeptical that is the case, and will be signing off for a few hours (sleep and classes, got to stay sharp in my Imperial tactics manuals) before I cast my own vote.

I was quick to jump on a plan that immediately afterward everyone else also agreed was a good plan. Don't see how that singles me out over everyone else other than the fact I was active on the thread at the time it was posted.

As far as Dab goes, I don't know how I feel about it. Too much stuff could be legitimately interfering with the ability to tell whether its real or not, or it could be a huge crock.

However, regardless of Dab, I have thought Giled to be suspiciously quiet this entire time, and not just inactive for a little for normal stuff, but literally not saying anything for over a 24 hour period yesterday, way to content to just ride the background while every single other person has rode some level of suspicion. When I voiced this, hoping to get some sort of something to reduce suspicion from him instead he votes me. That said, for me today that is where I start. I am fine switching to Dab, because I think there had been enough suspicioun built that if we need votes for hammer, but for now I want to follow through on Giled from yesterday.

The last twenty four hours were night. Of course I was silent. Unless you mean the 24 before that, in which I was trying to figure out what was going on, and by the time I had figured enough to move my vote, we had hammer anyway.

No one, I was blissfully asleep. My vote is my weapon, and I had used that already.
