First game questions?

1. Does Kari's damage/surge special ignore shields and can you stack the surges or are they given individually? Example if I roll 2 surges do I do 2/2/2 damage or can I do 6?

2. Can you be flanked while in terrain?

3. If a my one tray unit is engaged with another one tray unit and I shift left one are we still considered engaged based on our corners?

4. Also how is everyone storing there stuff?

Thank you for any help!

1. Nope. Anything that does damage hits defense before causing wounds. Anything that bypasses defense will say that it deals wounds (Mortal Strike and the skill from Deathcaller are examples of this).

2. Nope. All edges of terrain are considered to be your front edge.

3. I'm not exactly sure what you are asking. Individual trays are not engaged, the entire unit is engaged.

4. I've just got all of the bases locked together and am using the bottom of the box to hold them. That's obviously not going to scale.

Ok thanks for the response! Totally did Kari's damage wrong last night as I thought it worked like a mortal wound. Are you able to stack it? Like make it 6 instead of 2/2/2 because I see a plus sign by the surge?

The units would be engaged and I would shift it to the left 1 move. The corners are close/touching would they still be engaged? If that clears it up? I would think the shifting would disengage them.

Sorry, totally missed that.

With a Surge+ ability you can split up your surges however you'd like. The reason that Kari's ability is a Surge+ is so that it is possible to damage units with a defense higher than 2. With 3 surges you can:

Spend all 3 surges on one target for 6 damage.
Spend 1 surge each on three targets for 2 damage to each.
Spend 1 surge on one target for 2 damage and 2 surges on a second target for 4 damage.

Ok, the way I understand it is that if the shift would leave you without a connecting edge then it would disengage you. That would make the shift illegal since the only legal shift to disengage is directly away from the unit to which you are engaged (if you are engaged on your front edge then you must shift backwards, if engaged on your left edge then you must shift to the right, etc.).

Great that answers it! Thank you.
