Do you want lots of separate factions with crossover potential or a few factions with great depth?

Wanting four factions fleshed out doesn't mean we don't want to see more factions it just means we don't want to see factions for the sake of factions. Personally I would love to see more factions but I know that if they are not done well then we will just be buried in 4-6 different units for 10-20 factions where one or two factions will be cycled through the "just got a new release and is now the only thing competitively viable" situation. I really REALLY don't want to see that...and going slow with the big expansions is how you avoid that the most...Also I think someone already mentioned it but if the game just is all about cross faction army building then that kinda throws the whole only need to buy your own faction thing out the window...

Re read some of the lore book last night. Beyond the 4 main factions it talks about orcs, dwarves, and dragon lords. I can see at some point down the road there being 7 factions. There is mention of other races and free units not sure if we will ever see those though. Sorry I'm just rambling now. I guess my thought is get the 4 established then introduce the other 3 in big epic waves upon themselves

I personally wouldn't mind at least 2-3 more factions, but the important thing for me is that there is no discrepancy between the investment in a balanced game and the investment in pushing models in order to sell more at the expense of the game mechanics (you know, one of the things that sent WH Fantasy to an early grave).

If this stays on as a stable, not-too-much-not-too-little kind of game system, I'll keep buying Reanimates 'til the end of time, just figuring out new colour schemes and modelling options.

A mercenary faction would open up a lot of slots for wacky model choices.
