Best 4 ship IMP list?

I'm trying to build a 4 ship imp list, worthy of tournaments. Does any one have any suggestions? Or isn't not possible with IMP.

I'm thinking of a four bomber list.

Decimators don't really last long from would I've been told.

Nothing lasts long anymore. Can you cripple the rest of thier lost before going down? 4 ships makes it hard A deci and 2 smaller ships is much easier.

I tend to fly Oicuun a lot. When you're Ramming and doing damage they can't shoot you back. There is also the Big O deathroll build that autokills anything it can ram with 5hp or less

There's also Invincible kenkirk silliness about. Not truely invincible but they can be tough.

That has nothing to do with ship numbers though. You could run a mix of ties and aces, you could spam cheap bombers, you could go with something like TIE Adv which are beefier then TIEs and don't rely nearly as much on arc dodging, you can go with FOs or any number of things which can range from three to six ships.

I ran a really crazy 4 ship imp list last fall I think. Only did like a half dozen games with it but won them all i believe.

It was something like ps4 punisher with clusters, ps4 tap with standard loadout, ps4 tie fo with crackshot, and the ps7 tie fo ace with wired and a hull upgrade.

Really fun to fly as they are all so different.

Palp shuttle and the three named strikers are pretty good.

Pretty much any 4-ship Imperial list should have some bombers in it.

This one has the firepower you know you want. List 1

Backdraft, Adapt., FCS, LWF -- Delta X7 -- 2x Scimitar Bomber, LRS, Concussion Missile

This is what I am trying next. List 2 Raging Ryad

Ryad, Ion Cannon, TIE/D, Rage -- Countdown -- Scimitar, Inspiring Recruit, Tactician -- Scimitar, LRS, 2x Concussion Missile

It feels like 5-ship Imperials should work too, but the list building becomes much harder as you have to make more tradeoffs. The highly placed 4-ship Rebels squads at worlds shows 4-ships is good again. For awhile it was literally all 2 or 3 ship lists :(

I've had a fair bit of success with this list:

44 Quickdraw w/ Expertise, FCS, ConcussionM, Target Sync, LWF, Title.
32 Tomax w/ Crackshot, EM, HomingM, Chips.
12 Academy.
12 Academy.

It hits incredibly hard, and can PS kill stuff fairly easily.

I totally agree with the concept of this list. I think Imperial High PS alpha strike is the way to go.

If not doing ordnance (and I think you should), something like this might work.

Omega Leader: A Score to Settle/Weapons Guidance

Vessery: VI/X7

Academy TIE

Gives you a pocket ace, a jouster, a blocker and an annoyance. Works OK. Lots of TL's to allow Vessery to hit nice and hard.

^Oh yeah, but then what imp list isn't. As I said it's unplayed, so it could be garbage. Dropping the two ties, Operations Specialist, and LWF on Rhymer frees space for PTL X-7 Ryad which should fit well but that isn't a four ship list.

“Pure Sabacc” (22), Adaptive Ailerons (0)

I have basically been switching in and out FCS on Backdraft and Thread tracers on Deathfire for the Plasma torps on deathfire, but I like this version best with Deathfire more of a threat. I also switched Primed thrusters for Cluster mines, but the PTs are great endgame with Backdrafts funky flying tail shots.

Its a lot of fun to fly.

Replace Inky with Jax and it's still playable. Jax is very nice with the Mindlink meta
