New to Skirmish...I have a question.

By Purple Orc, in Imperial Assault Skirmish

Okay, I just started to look into the skirmish mode and I learned about the pass activation rule, after watching a youtube video.

Now my question is the "Sit Tight" card useless now?

It's not totally useless. You can only pass if you have less ready deployment cards. Sit Tight allows to wait until you have more.

So basically you could use it now to ensure that you get the last activation of a round. I imagine it would be really good in some situations and a dead card in others.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll keep the card then.:)

Yes, but remember that you have to use Sit Tight at the start of a round, you could not wait to use it mid-round or near the end of the round.

You can also get screwed by using Sit Tight if your opponent is able to defeat your ready deployment cards before you are able to activate. (Sit tight states you *DO NOT* activate until you have *MORE* ready deployment cards than your opponent *THIS ROUND*). Granted, this is extremely uncommon, as most players have shelved Sit Tight. But it *could* happen under the right "alpha strike" conditions where Sit Tight could allow your opponent several activations in a row to decimate your army.

Agreed Fizz. I was specifically thinking using it first round with a list featuring Bantha could be a solid move. Ensuring that you could get that last activation to run all the way to your opponents figures without getting smacked back.

ah yeah being able to play it when you felt, like just saying "pass" it would be a lot better. There's a lot more risk involved with having to play it at the start of the round.
