Stele over Fett any day of the week.

Also missing Jendon, which if you have any squadron 20 pts or over should essentially be an auto include as a force multiplier.

I don't see Mauler helping this too much as without leaning heavily into flight controllers, Howlrunner, etc his damage potential vs gonna get blown up potential is pretty low. Rudor or even Black squadron with Dengar would probably be more helpful.

Tie Defenders and their inability to hit/crit will always be more effective vs squads than ships. Your bombing damage is actually pretty low, and most of your "bombers" will want to commit hard to the squad fight before they shoot ships. When it comes to Rhymer, generic tie bombers are still the bread and butter to build your damage.

What you have here is 134 points of anti squadron with a secondary bomber component. Probably good against Rieekan Aces, but not going to win the day against a low squadron fleet. Tycho and Shara with a couple of A's will tear into this hard.

Tempest had a black bomber. It is essentially a Tie Bomber with escort.

I agree with this. Jendon + Steele is just insane. It does an incredible job on either squadrons the protect to ball a few rounds or throws 2 blue dice twice (2 garantee crits with Steele) on ships. And we're not even talking about the relay advantage here.

New list with the feedback

Stele

Ryhmer

Dengar

Jendon

Tempest squadron

Tie advanced

2 x tie defender

This looks very good. Tempted to try it out in my next bomber list.

I can vouch for Valen too. Hot pick for 13.

Still no tries with Jendon and Saber.

Does someone want to cook up a how to Saber guide? Yknow, how to parry, how to avoid dying, what equipment to bring along with your saber? Footwork. Yknow.

You are really missing out.

This one kind of falls to my fleet, but due to proximity of euros I dont want to right now. I will drop you a message though.

Oh ok. Didn't read this before the message.

Missing Dutch. In the current state of affairs his auto damage is just too good to not bring along. Dutch was my most feared Rebel squadron at Worlds.

I actually don't find him superb like a lot do as I see mirror matches as often as not outside of CC. With Biggs, he rarely procs. Though against Imp aces he is awesome

I remember when CC was revealed someone had the audacity to say that it only made Rhymer balls better and didn't do much for the Rebels....I wonder if they saw the results of Worlds.

I wonder if that was early in the reveal process. Norra and Gold were not previewed IIRC. The comment doesn't seem as crazy if you don't consider them.

If I recall correctly it was after the comment was made after the squadron cards were spoiled.

Wouldn't be the first time someone made a wrong prediction about the game :)

That's why you have to remember that for all the theorycrafting, armchair admiraling, "fixes" and general raucous the forum creates, people are typically wrong more than they are right.

Any thoughts on switching dengar with ig88?

Jendon/Saber/IG-88 is used around here. Seems like those with Dengar/Advanceds the most. It is reallllly effective. They will assassinate anything important. Norra, Dengar, Jan... doesn't matter

Saber/Jendon > IG88

I used to use a lot of IG88, but he collects dust now. Too many better alternatives as far as utility per point are concerned. Same goes for Dengar. I only even run intel 50% of the time, and then it's a generic jump at most. Jan gets use only because of her token sharing if I am using a lot of generics. (Or the ridiculous massed Geniques with Jan and Rieekan)

Nope would have to switch tempest to a normal tie advanced to switch in ig88. I could add saber and a normal tie but to add rudor would also have to drop tempest. Choices choices
