We're getting an AT-DP in the next epxansion. I initially just concluded that this would essentially make up for the AT-ST not being useable, but then I figured it's just as likely that the pack will include some upgrades or cards that will not only work with the AT-DP but also help the AT-ST and Hovertank.
I'll be surprised if vehicles don't get some love in that pack and maybe put some tanks and AT-STs back on tables. 
Seeing as the AT-DP will be in the Heart of the Empire Big Box, we kinda already know about some of the cards we're going to get.
The article mentioned three Skirmish Upgrades, one of which was revealed to be for Vader. The remaining two are most likely going to be for more iconic heroes like Han or Chewie.
That said, there may be a few command cards that will give vehicles a (much needed) boost, but I doubt there will be any fixes to the AT-ST in the Big Box itself...

What I really want to see is them overprice the AT-DP and release a Massive Vehicle upgrade (like Shock and Awe, perhaps 
) that effects the ST, the DP, the Hover Tank, and Weiss all equally to bring them all into line.

I like this idea. Also, there was a lot of buzz at Worlds from designers, play testers, and media types about Imperial massive vehicle fixes in Heart.
